Abstract

Tumbuhan herba sebagai tumbuhan bawah dapat berfungsi dalam peresapan dan membantu menahan jatuhnya air secara langsung, serta berperan dalam menambah bahan organik tanah sehingga menyebabkan resistensi tanah terhadap erosi meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi tentang jenis-jenis tumbuhan herba di kawasan Hutan Sumber Pawon dan mengetahui perbandingan tingkat keanekaragaman dari dua habitat yaitu area dalam hutan dengan area dekat sumber mata air pada kawasan hutan tersebut. Untuk mengetahui perbandingan tingkat keanekaragaman di dua habitat Hutan Sumber Pawon yaitu habitat dalam hutan dan dekat sumber mata air, maka penelitian ini menggunakan metode kombinasi transek dan metode kuadran pada setiap titik lokasi dengan jarak tiap titik 50 m. Setelah data didapatkan, dilanjutkan analisis data untuk membandingkan dan menganalisis perbedaan tingkat keanekaragaman tumbuhan herba pada dua habitat Hutan Sumber Pawon yaitu dalam hutan dan dekat aliran air. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan ditemukan 9 jenis dan 5 famili tumbuhan herba di dua habitat yaitu dalam hutan dan dekat aliran air. Selain itu, Indeks Nilai Penting yang tinggi yaitu Aglonema simplex sebesar 45,970 % dan Calathea sp. sebesar 45,098 % . Kemudian, hasil dari Indeks Dominansi Simpson pada area dalam hutan sebesar 1,999 menunjukkan tinggi sedangkan dekat aliran air sebesar 2 dikategorikan tinggi dan Indeks Keanekaragaman Shanon – Wiener (H’) pada area dalam hutan sebesar 1,934 dan dekat aliran air sebesar 1,488 menunjukkan kategori sedang. Selain itu terdapat faktor lingkungan yang mempengaruhi kelimpahan tumbuhan herba pada tiap habitatnya. Habitat dalam hutan dipengaruhi oleh suhu dan tutupan tajuk, sedangkan pada habitat dekat aliran air dipengaruhi oleh tutupan tajuk, intensitas cahaya dan suhu.

Herbaceous plants as understorey can function in absorption and help prevent direct water fall, and play a role in adding soil organic matter, causing soil resistance to erosion to increase. This study aims to provide information about the types of herbaceous plants in the Hutan Sumber Pawon area and to compare the level of diversity of the two habitats, namely the area in the forest and the area near the springs in the forest area. To compare the level of diversity in the two habitats of Hutan Sumber Pawon, namely the habitat in the forest and near the springs, this study used a combination transect method and the quadrant method at each location point with a distance of each point 50 m. After the data was obtained, it was continued with data analysis to compare and analyze the differences in the level of diversity of herbaceous plants in the two habitats of the Hutan Sumber Pawon, namely in the forest interior and riparian forest. The results of the research found 9 species and 5 families of herbaceous plants in two habitats, namely in the forest and near water sources. In addition, the high Important Value Index, namely Aglonema simplex of 45.970% and Calathea sp. of 45,098% . Then, the results of the Simpson Dominance Index in the forest area of 1,999 indicate high, while near water sources 2 is categorized as high and the Shanon – Wiener Diversity Index (H') in the forest area is 1.9337 and near water sources is 1.4876 indicates the medium category. In addition, there are environmental factors that affect the abundance of herbaceous plants in each habitat. Habitat in the forest is affected by temperature and canopy cover, while in habitats near watercourses it is influenced by canopy cover, light intensity and temperature.
