Abstract

The manufacturing sector plays a crucial role in economic growth; however, its production activities often generate significant environmental impacts. Conventional Aggregate Production Planning (APP) primarily focuses on cost efficiency and has not yet comprehensively integrated sustainability considerations. A research gap exists due to the limited simultaneous integration of economic, environmental, and social aspects, as well as the lack of representation of target flexibility in decision-making processes. This study aims to develop a mathematical model of Sustainable Aggregate Production Planning (SAPP) that integrates the three pillars of sustainability using a Fuzzy Goal Programming approach. The optimization results yield a solution satisfaction level (λ) of 0.6746, indicating a balanced compromise among the objectives. Compared to the Baseline solution, the proposed FGP model reduces operational costs by 9.6%, carbon emissions by 2.1%, energy consumption by 41.2%, and waste generation by 12.0%. Therefore, the SAPP model based on Fuzzy Goal Programming is proven to be effective and robust in addressing conflicts among sustainability objectives in aggregate roduction planning.
