Abstract
Pusat Studi Kecerdasan Artifisial dan Teknologi Digital merupakan unit yang berfokus pada pengembangan dan penerapan kecerdasan artifisial dalam berbagai sektor, termasuk pendidikan. Kegiatan Kerja Praktik ini dilaksanakan untuk mendukung program penguatan literasi kecerdasan artifisial (Artificial Intelligence/AI) di lingkungan pendidikan Kota Surabaya yang dilaksanakan bekerja sama dengan Dinas Pendidikan Kota Surabaya dan Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Timur. Fokus kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi perancangan dan pelaksanaan program Duta AI, penyusunan pedoman pembuatan kebijakan penggunaan Generative AI di sekolah, serta perumusan policy brief penerapan Generative AI pada satuan pendidikan. Program Duta AI dilaksanakan melalui tahapan perencanaan kurikulum, rekrutmen dan pelatihan siswa sebagai Duta AI dengan skema Training of Trainers (ToT), implementasi pelatihan di sekolah, serta pendampingan dan evaluasi. Selain itu, dilakukan asesmen pemahaman AI berbasis kerangka kompetensi UNESCO sebagai dasar penyusunan pedoman kebijakan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini berupa implementasi program Duta AI di sekolah dasar dan menengah serta tersedianya panduan kebijakan penggunaan Generative AI bagi sekolah dan dinas pendidikan guna mendukung terciptanya ekosistem pembelajaran yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi.

The Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology Studies is a unit focused on the development and application of artificial intelligence across various sectors, including education. This Internship Program was carried out to support the initiative to strengthen artificial intelligence (AI) literacy within the educational environment of Surabaya City, implemented in collaboration with the Surabaya City Education Office and the East Java Provincial Education Office. The main focus of the activities included the design and implementation of the AI Ambassador Program, the development of guidelines for formulating policies on the use of Generative AI in schools, and the preparation of policy briefs on the application of Generative AI in educational institutions. The AI Ambassador Program was conducted through several stages, including curriculum planning, recruitment and training of students as AI Ambassadors using a Training of Trainers (ToT) scheme, implementation of training in schools, as well as mentoring and evaluation. In addition, an AI literacy assessment based on the UNESCO competency framework was conducted as a foundation for developing policy guidelines. The outcomes of these activities include the implementation of the AI Ambassador Program in primary and secondary schools and the availability of policy guidelines on the use of Generative AI for schools and education offices, aimed at supporting the creation of a learning ecosystem that is adaptive to technological advancements.
