Abstract

Lahan pascatambang umumnya mengalami degradasi lingkungan, meliputi hilangnya lapisan tanah atas dan rendahnya kandungan hara. Peningkatan erosi juga sering terjadi pada area lereng curam yang secara langsung menghambat proses pemulihan alami lahan. Namun, metode revegetasi konvensional sering kali kurang efektif karena ketidakmampuannya menjaga stabilitas media tanam sebelum vegetasi tumbuh sempurna. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kinerja metode hydroseeding termodifikasi matras jute net. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental pada dua tingkat kemiringan lereng sebesar 45° dan 70°, dengan dua jenis tanaman penutup tanah yakni Calopogonium mucunoides dan Zoysia japonica. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan delapan unit reaktor berdimensi 40 cm x 30 cm. Penilaian kinerja sistem didasarkan pada parameter pengukuran meliputi Laju Perkecambahan (Germination Percentage/GP), laju aliran air, persentase tutupan lahan, serta konsentrasi Total Suspended Solids (TSS). Hubungan antarvariabel dianalisis menggunakan Principal Component Analysis (PCA) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji ANOVA untuk memperoleh signifikansi pengaruh perlakuan.Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kinerja sistem hydroseeding secara utama ditentukan oleh faktor kemiringan lereng dengan pengaruh sebesar 19%. Meskipun jenis tanaman secara tunggal tidak memberikan dampak signifikan secara global, interaksi antara kemiringan dan karakteristik tanaman terbukti berpengaruh terhadap penurunan TSS dan pembentukan tutupan lahan. Calopogonium mucunoides lebih efektif sebagai penutup lahan jangka pendek pada kemiringan 45° dengan tutupan melebihi 70%, sedangkan pada lereng 70°, Zoysia japonica menunjukkan kestabilan yang lebih baik dalam mengurangi pelepasan sedimen (TSS < 500 mg/L) meski laju tutupannya lebih lambat.

Post-mining lands generally suffer from significant environmental degradation, characterized by the loss of topsoil and low nutrient content. Increased erosion is also common on steep slopes, which directly hinders the natural recovery process. However, conventional revegetation methods are often ineffective due to their inability to maintain growth media stability before vegetation is fully established. Addressing this gap, this study aims to evaluate the performance of a hydroseeding method modified with jute net mats as a reinforcement medium to provide mechanical stability and accelerate land recovery.
The evaluation focused on two slope inclinations, 45° and 70°, using two types of cover crops, Calopogonium mucunoides and Zoysia japonica. The research was conducted using eight reactor units with dimensions of 40 cm x 30 cm. System performance was assessed based on parameters including Germination Percentage (GP), water flow rate, land cover percentage, and Total Suspended Solids (TSS) concentration. Relationships between variables were analyzed using Principal Component Analysis (PCA), followed by ANOVA to determine the significance of treatment effects. The analysis results indicate that the hydroseeding system's performance was primarily determined by the slope factor, which had an influence of 19%. Although plant type alone did not have a globally significant impact, the interaction between slope and plant characteristics proved influential in reducing TSS and establishing land cover. Calopogonium mucunoides was more effective as a short-term cover on 45° slopes with coverage exceeding 70%, whereas on 70° slopes, Zoysia japonica demonstrated better stability in minimizing sediment release (TSS < 500 mg/L), despite a relatively slower coverage rate.
