Abstract

Organizational The establishment of Danantara as Indonesia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF) represents a strategic government initiative aimed at consolidating state-owned enterprise assets and enhancing long-term business success through comprehensive organizational restructuring; however, the effectiveness of this policy is influenced not only by internal organizational design but also by public perception as an external stakeholder. Although prior studies have examined organizational restructuring in terms of organizational structure, business processes, portfolio, and financial transformation, empirical research that specifically employs public perception as a predictive basis for assessing the business success of a sovereign wealth fund, particularly Danantara, remains limited. This study aims to predict Danantara’s business success through organizational restructuring based on public perception within an integrated empirical model. Using a quantitative predictive approach, this study analyzes survey data collected from 100 informed respondents, primarily consumers of stateowned enterprises, employing Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with a high-order construct, selected due to the complexity of the model and its predictive orientation, and subsequently applies System Dynamics Simulation to examine long-term policy impacts. The results indicate that organizational restructuring dimensions significantly influence Danantara’s business success, with significant path coefficients and substantial explanatory power (R²), while the system dynamics simulation reveals the presence of time lags and feedback loops between restructuring policies and long-term business performance.
