Abstract
PT X, sebagai pelaksana proyek percontohan pemasangan interceptor, menghadapi berbagai kendala selama pelaksanaan proyek yang berdampak pada penurunan keuntungan perusahaan hingga 40% atau sekitar Rp 200.000.000,00. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pemborosan (waste) yang terjadi dalam proses pemasangan interceptor serta merancang strategi perbaikan berkelanjutan menggunakan pendekatan Value Stream Mapping (VSM), sebagai salah satu alat dalam lean management. Penelitian difokuskan pada proyek pemasangan interceptor periode 2019–2024. Tahapan penelitian meliputi pengumpulan data, penyusunan current value stream mapping, identifikasi waste, pengembangan future value stream mapping, dan validasi bersama manajemen perusahaan. Hasil penelitian berhasil mengidentifikasi pemborosan utama yang terjadi, diantaranya adalah kecacatan informasi yang tidak memadai, inspeksi berulang, proses yang tidak tersinkronisasi, hambatan struktural dalam transportasi produk, dan waktu tunggu terjadwal ketika finalisasi proyek. Temuan hasil tersebut akan dijadikan acuan dalam penyusunan rancangan kerangka kerja perbaikan. Penerapan perancangan kerangka kerja perbaikan dilakukan untuk mengurangi pemborosan dalam pengerjaan instalasi interceptor. Dimana yang dapat berpotensi mempersingkat waktu lead time sebanyak 26 hari kalender.

PT X, as the implementer of the interceptor installation pilot project, faced various obstacles during the project implementation which resulted in a decrease in company profits of up to 40% or around Rp 200,000,000.00. This study aims to identify waste that occurs in the interceptor installation process and design a continuous improvement strategy using the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) approach, as one of the tools in lean management. The study focused on the interceptor installation project for the 2019–2024 period. The research stages include data collection, preparation of current state mapping, waste identification, development of future state mapping, and validation with company management. The results of the study successfully identified the main waste that occurred, including inadequate information rusaks, repeated inspections, unsynchronized processes, structural obstacles in product transportation, and scheduled waiting times during project finalization. The implementation of the improvement framework design is carried out to reduce waste in the interceptor installation process which can potentially shorten the lead time by 26 calendar days.
