Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pentingnya pemilihan Third Party Logistic (3PL) untuk pendistribusian bahan baku ke lokasi smelting, yang sangat vital untuk kelancaran proses produksi, terutama dalam industri pengolahan nikel. Nikel, sebagai bahan utama baterai kendaraan listrik, menuntut pengelolaan rantai pasokan yang efisien agar perusahaan smelter dapat tetap kompetitif di pasar global. Tantangan yang dihadapi oleh perusahaan smelter nikel adalah pengelolaan logistik yang tidak efisien yang dapat meningkatkan biaya operasional dan menurunkan produktivitas. Logistik yang efisien dalam transportasi, pergudangan, dan distribusi sangat berpengaruh terhadap biaya dan waktu pengiriman, yang dapat mempengaruhi kelancaran produksi dan pengiriman produk akhir. Oleh karena itu, pemilihan vendor yang tepat menjadi kunci, karena dapat mempengaruhi kinerja perusahaan secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) untuk pembobotan kriteria dan VIKOR (Vlse Kriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje) untuk perangkingan alternatif dalam pemilihan vendor 3PL, berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan oleh tim terkait. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan 6 kriteria dan 15 subkriteria. 6 kriteria diantaranya price, delivery, performance, quality, service, dan safety. Hasil perhitungan AHP menunjukkan rasio konsistensi (CR) sebesar 0,066, yang berada di bawah batas toleransi (0,1). Hal ini membuktikan bahwa bobot kriteria dan subkriteria yang dihasilkan adalah konsisten dan dapat diandalkan untuk proses perankingan lebih lanjut dengan VIKOR. Hasil dari perhitungan VIKOR merekomendasi pemilihan third party logistic shipping line berdasarkan rangkingnya yaitu vendor PT. A, vendor PT. B, dan vendor PT. C.

This study examines the importance of selecting Third Party Logistics (3PL) providers for the distribution of raw materials to smelting locations, which is crucial for the smooth operation of the production process, especially in the nickel processing industry. Nickel, as the main material for electric vehicle (EV) batteries, requires efficient supply chain management to ensure that smelter companies remain competitive in the global market. A key challenge faced by nickel smelting companies is inefficient logistics management, which can lead to increased operational costs and decreased productivity. Efficient logistics in transportation, warehousing, and distribution greatly impacts costs and delivery times, which, in turn, affect production continuity and the delivery of final products. Therefore, selecting the right supplier is essential, as it can influence the overall performance of the company. This research uses the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method for criterion weighting and the VIKOR (Vlse Kriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje) method for ranking alternatives in selecting 3PL vendors, based on criteria established by the relevant team. The results of this study identified six criteria and fifteen sub-criteria. The six criteria include price, delivery, performance, quality, service, and safety. The AHP calculation produced a consistency ratio (CR) of 0.066, which is below the acceptable threshold of 0.1. This indicates that the resulting weights of the criteria and sub-criteria are consistent and reliable for further ranking using the VIKOR method. The VIKOR results recommend selecting third-party logistic shipping lines in the following order: vendor PT A, vendor PT B, and vendor PT C.
