Abstract
This research develops an integrative framework for implementing Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM) practices in the retail industry in France using the real-life practices of Carrefour Group, one of the largest retail companies in France. Using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, this research identifies how SSCM practices that focus on the three main aspects of environment, social, and economy can improve operational efficiency by addressing sustainability issues. By conducting an in-depth analysis of the Carrefour Group's supply chain activity performance from 2022, 2023, and 2024, this framework produces data that says that the environmental dimension with a weight of 53.9% is the company's top priority, followed by the economic dimension with a weight of 29.7% and finally the social dimension with a weight of 16.4% is the result of the weighting of sustainable supply chain activities carried out by the Carrefour Group in an effort to achieve its sustainability targets. This prioritisation strategy is also influenced by the KPIs that support the company and is in line with the sustainability regulations made by the European Union. This integration framework provides decision-making tools for retailers, decision-makers, and supply chain experts to move towards inclusive, transparent, and circular sustainability activities.
