Abstract

Sistem distribusi listrik memegang peranan penting pada berbagai sektor kehidupan, oleh karena itu diperlukan sistem distribusi listrik yang handal untuk mengatasi gangguan yang terjadi didalam jaringan. Koordinasi proteksi pada jaringan ring menggunakan Directional Overcurrent Relay (DOCR) yang memiliki dual setting sesuai dengan arah arus gangguan. DOCR membutuhkan pengaturan nilai arus pickup (Ip) serta Time Dial Setting (TDS) untuk dapat bekerja secara optimal dalam mengatasi gangguan. Oleh karena itu untuk menemukan nilai TDS optimal dari DOCR digunakan metode Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA). Metode ICA digunakan untuk menemukan nilai TDS dari rele DOCR pada jaringan ring PT. Linde Indonesia Gresik dengan rele DOCR memiliki konfigurasi forward dan reverse yang bekerja sesuai arah arus gangguan. Hasil optimasi TDS dengan metode ICA didapatkan melalui software MATLAB yang kemudian dibandingkan dengan perhitungan TDS secara manual, metode Genetic Algorithm (GA), dan metode Firefly Algorithm (FA). Hasil metode ICA kemudian divalidasi dengan simulasi dan Time Current Characteristic (TCC) pada software ETAP. Koordinasi proteksi dari rele yang berada didalam jaringan ring bertujuan untuk menemukan nilai TDS sehingga nilai Time Operating (TOP) dari setiap rele bernilai 0.5 detik pada pengaturan forward dan 0.1 detik pada pengaturan reverse. Setiap rele memiliki nilai TOP yang sama dikarenakan pasangan rele berada pada satu feeder sehingga nilai arus yang dirasakan oleh setiap pasang rele akan bernilai sama. Selain itu setiap rele akan mengaktifkan semua circuit breaker (CB) dalam feeder yang sama sehingga terjadi intertrip. Hasil simulasi dengan TDS dari metode ICA menunjukkan TOP dari setiap rele pada pengaturan forward bernilai 0.5 detik dan pada pengaturan reverse bernilai 0.1 detik, hasil TOP ini memenuhi ketentuan TOP yang diinginkan serta batasan-batasan koordinasi. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa metode ICA dapat digunakan untuk menemukan nilai TDS optimal dari permasalahan koordinasi proteksi.

The electrical distribution system plays an important role in various sectors, therefore a reliable distribution system is needed to handle disturbance that occur in the distribution system. Protection coordination in a ring distribution system uses Directional Overcurrent Relay (DOCR) that have dual settings according to the direction of the fault current. DOCR requires the setting of the pickup current (Ip) and Time Dial Setting (TDS) to operate optimally in handling disturbances. Therefore, Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA) is used to find the optimal TDS value of the DOCR. ICA method is used to determine the TDS value of DOCR Relays in the ring distribution system of PT. Linde Indonesia Gresik, where DOCR have forward and reverse configurations that operate according to the direction of fault current. TDS optimization result obtained using ICA method in MATLAB are then compared with manual TDS calculation, Genetic Algorithm (GA), and Firefly Algorithm (FA). TDS result from ICA is validated using simulation and Time Current Characteristic (TCC) in ETAP software. The protection coordination of the relay in the ring distribution system aims to determine the TDS value so that the Time Operating (TOP) of each relay is 0.5 seconds in the forward setting and 0.1 seconds in the reverse setting. Each relay has the same TOP value because the relay pairs are within the same feeder, so the current sensed by each relay pair has the same value. In addition, each relay activates all circuit breaker (CB) in the same feeder resulting in an intertrip. The simulation results using TDS value from ICA show that the TOP of each relay in the forward setting is 0.5 second or more and 0.1 seconds or more in the reverse setting, this TOP result meets the desired TOP requirements and coordination constraint. These results prove that the ICA method can be used to determine the optimal TDS value for protection coordination problems.
