Abstract

Indonesia tercatat sebagai salah satu negara dengan tingkat serangan siber tertinggi di Asia Tenggara. Laporan lembaga keamanan siber dan kepolisian menyebut media sosial sebagai kanal utama serangan siber. Gen Z adalah pengguna paling intens di platform tersebut, sehingga secara proporsi lebih sering menjadi korban. Hal ini diakibatkan rendahnya literasi digital dan pemahaman tentang keamanan siber. Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya media edukasi yang sesuai dengan preferensi generasi Z dan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran bahaya serangan siber. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang media edukasi berupa animasi naratif yang ditujukan kepada Generasi Z berumur 16-18 tahun. Perancangan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan studi literatur dan studi observasi. Proses pengumpulan data juga dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam bersama narasumber ahli, serta studi eksisting terhadap animasi-animasi sejenis yang telah tayang. Selain itu, dilakukan analisis terhadap target audiens untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan kebutuhan mereka. Hasil perancangan berupa episode pertama dari serial animasi berjudul “Siber Helpi” berdurasi 6 menit. Episode ini mengangkat tema kebocoran data di sosial media dan upaya pencegahan peretasan akun dengan autentikasi. Gaya visual yang digunakan adalah kartun dengan alur naratif yang berfokus pada pembangunan karakter dan keterikatan emosional. Hasil dari uji coba menunjukkan bahwa remaja usia 16-18 tahun mengalami peningkatkan kewaspadaan pada ancaman siber serta keefektifan menunjukkan nilai N Gain yang dicapai melebihi 0,7. Hal ini membuktikan membuktikan efektivitas perancangan animasi ini dalam mengubah perilaku digital Gen Z.

Indonesia is recorded as one of the countries with the highest rates of cyber attacks in Southeast Asia. Reports from cybersecurity agencies and police indicate that social media serves as the primary channel for these attacks. Generation Z represents the most intensive users of these platforms, making them proportionally more frequent victims. This is due to low digital literacy and understanding of cybersecurity. These findings highlight the need for educational media tailored to Generation Z's preferences that can enhance awareness of cyber attack risks. This research aims to design educational media in the form of narrative animation targeted at Generation Z aged 16-18 years. The design employs a qualitative method, involving literature studies and observational studies. Data collection was also conducted through in-depth interviews with expert sources, as well as analyses of existing similar animations that have been released. Additionally, an analysis of the target audience was performed to identify their characteristics and needs. The design outcome is the first episode of an animated series titled “Siber Helpi,” with a duration of 6 minutes. This episode addresses the theme of data leaks on social media and efforts to prevent account hacking through authentication. The visual style employed is cartoonish, featuring a narrative structure focused on character development and emotional engagement. Results from the trial showed that teenagers aged 16-18 experienced increased vigilance toward cyber threats, with effectiveness demonstrated by an N-Gain value exceeding 0.7. This proves the effectiveness of this animation design in changing Generation Z's digital behavior.
