Abstract

Dinamika kehidupan masyarakat perkampungan kota mencerminkan kompleksitas suatu interaksi sosial yang terbentuk dari hubungan yang saling berkaitan antara aktivitas sosial dengan lingkungan fisiknya. Kampung Lontong merupakan salah satu kawasan produktif di Kota Surabaya yang memiliki peluang untuk mengembangkan perekonomian lokal melalui produksi lontong yang menjadi salah satu produk unggulan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah. Studi ini berfokus pada bagaimana pola perilaku masyarakat kampung terhadap prinsip penggunaan ruang dapat diterapkan pada konsep desain ruang publik yang mendukung kuliner lokal, kegiatan edukasi, aktivitas interaksi sosial, serta promosi produk dan nilai lokal kampung sebagai strategi memperkenalkan Kampung Lontong secara luas agar keberadaannya tetap terjaga seiring dengan berjalannya waktu. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi hubungan antara perilaku manusia, aktivitas produktif, aktivitas sosial, dan lingkungan fisik dalam konteks setting tertentu melalui penerapan teori Behavior Setting untuk menciptakan suatu ruang publik yang responsif. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi dampak pola perilaku masyarakat kampung produktif terhadap desain ruang publik baru. Luaran desain perancangan secara spesifik berupa Sentra Wisata Kuliner dan Edukasi yang terintegrasi secara tidak langsung dengan kampung produktif melalui pendekatan pola perilaku masyarakat Kampung Lontong. Objek perancangan ini mewadahi berbagai fungsi, yaitu pusat kuliner, area interaktif, area multifungsi, dan area edukasi. Hasil dari perancangan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu solusi alternatif dalam mendesain ruang publik dengan pengalaman fungsional yang baik serta mendukung keberlanjutan ekonomi lokal dalam lingkup kehidupan di kawasan perkampungan kota yang penuh dengan dinamika kehidupan sosial, ekonomi, dan budaya yang kompleks melalui pendekatan berbasis Behavior Setting.

The dynamics of urban village life reflect the complexity of social interactions formed from the interconnected relationship between social activities and the physical environment. Kampung Lontong is one of the productive areas in Surabaya City that has the opportunity to develop the local economy through the production of lontong, which is one of the superior products of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprisess. This study focuses on how the behavior patterns of village communities regarding the principles of space use can be applied to the concept of public space design that supports local culinary, educational activities, social interaction activities, and the promotion of local village products and values as a strategy to introduce Kampung Lontong widely so that its existence is maintained over time. This study explores the relationship between human behavior, productive activities, social activities, and the physical environment in the context of a particular setting through the application of Behavior Setting theory to create a responsive public space. The main objective of this study is to identify the impact of the behavior patterns of productive village communities on the design of new public spaces. The specific design output is a Culinary and Education Tourism Center that is indirectly integrated with the productive village through the approach of the behavior patterns of the Kampung Lontong community. This design object accommodates various functions, namely a culinary center, interactive area, multifunctional area, and educational area. The results of this design are expected to be an alternative solution in designing public spaces with good functional experiences and support local economic sustainability in the scope of life in urban village areas that are full of complex social, economic, and cultural dynamics through a Behavior Setting-based approach.
