Abstract
Pencahayaan pada ruang perpustakaan secara signifikan memengaruhi kenyamanan visual para pemustaka dalam melakukan aktivitas membaca. Akan tetapi, masih banyak perpustakaan yang memiliki permasalahaan terkait pencahayaan ruang, seperti distribusi pencahayaan yang tidak merata, tingkat iluminasi yang kurang dari standar, serta silau yang berlebihan. Sumber pencahayaan pada suatu ruangan dapat dicapai melalui pencahayaan alami maupun pencahayaan buatan. Jendela merupakan elemen bangunan yang berperan dalam memberikan akses pencahayaan alami untuk masuk ke dalam ruangan. Nilai window-to-wall ratio (WWR) menjadi salah satu faktor yang dapat memengaruhi tingkat iluminasi serta distribusi cahaya merata pada bangunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kondisi pencahayaan yang terjadi pada ruang IKOMA Center Perpustakaan ITS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode simulasi yang juga diawali dengan metode kuantitatif. Penerapan metode kuantitatif dilakukan untuk mengukur tingkat iluminasi di beberapa titik pengukuran dan melakukan analisis dan evaluasi terhadap standar pencahayaan pada ruang perpustakaan. Kemudian, dilakukan simulasi menggunakan software DIALux untuk melihat perubahan tingkat iluminasi dan distribusi cahaya alami di dalam ruangan melalui variasi nilai window-to-wall ratio dan posisi jendela. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menambah nilai WWR dapat meningkatkan tingkat iluminasi rata-rata dan jangkauan cahaya alami dengan memperhatikan potensi silau di dalam ruangan.

Lighting in a library significantly affects the visual comfort of users during reading activities. However, many libraries still have problems related to room lighting, such as uneven lighting distribution, less than standard illumination levels, and excessive glare. Lighting sources in a room can be achieved through natural lighting or artificial lighting. Windows are building elements that play a role in providing access for natural light to enter the room. Window-to-wall ratio (WWR) is one of the factors that can affect the illumination level and the lighting distribution in a building. This study aims to evaluate the lighting conditions that occur in the ITS Library IKOMA Center. This study uses a simulation method that also begins with a quantitative method. The application of the quantitative method is carried out to measure the illumination level at several measurement points and conduct analysis and evaluation of lighting standards in the library space. Then, a simulation using DIALux software is conducted to observe changes in illumination level and distribution of natural light in the room through variations in the window-to-wall ratio value and window position. The results show that increasing the WWR value can increase the average illumination level and the reach of natural light into the room.
