Abstract

Peningkatan arus petikemas dan tingginya tekanan efisiensi pada rantai logistik mendorong perlunya proses stuffing yang lebih terencana, khususnya pada pengiriman Less than Container Load (LCL) di perusahaan EMKL yang memiliki gudang. Pada praktiknya, penataan muatan masih sering dilakukan secara manual berbasis pengalaman sehingga berpotensi menghasilkan utilisasi ruang kontainer yang rendah, menimbulkan bongkar-susun ulang (re-handle), serta meningkatkan risiko kesalahan penempatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan aplikasi berbasis web untuk membantu perencanaan penataan muatan ke dalam petikemas secara lebih cepat, konsisten, dan mudah dipahami melalui visualisasi tiga dimensi. Sistem dirancang dengan arsitektur client-server dan menyediakan fitur input data kontainer dan barang, pengelompokan muatan, pengaturan kendala (load capacity, stacking, prioritas, dan LIFO), penyimpanan riwayat, serta ekspor laporan. Proses penataan dilakukan dengan kombinasi algoritma heuristik Back-Left-Fill (BLF) sebagai metode cepat dan Genetic Algorithm (GA) untuk eksplorasi solusi yang lebih baik melalui optimasi urutan serta rotasi barang yang diizinkan, dengan evaluasi penempatan menggunakan prosedur penempatan berbasis BLF. Pengujian dilakukan pada beberapa skenario kontainer standar serta data lapangan pengiriman LCL. Hasil menunjukkan aplikasi mampu menghasilkan rancangan penataan yang lebih terstruktur dan mendukung efisiensi operasional, ditunjukkan pada uji lapangan dengan penurunan kebutuhan kontainer dari 9 menjadi 7 kontainer (penghematan 22%) dibanding metode tanpa aplikasi.

The growth of containerized cargo flows and increasing efficiency pressures in logistics highlight the need for better stuffing planning, particularly for Less than Container Load (LCL) operations in freight forwarding companies (EMKL) with warehouse facilities. In practice, container loading is often performed manually and experience-based, which can lead to low space utilization, re-handling activities, and placement errors. This study aims to develop a web-based application to support faster and more consistent container loading planning, enhanced by interactive three-dimensional visualization. The system is designed using a client-server architecture and provides modules for container and item data input, cargo grouping, constraint configuration (load capacity, stacking, priority handling, and LIFO), result history, and report export. Loading layouts are generated using a combination of the Back-Left-Fill (BLF) heuristic for fast placement and a Genetic Algorithm (GA) to explore improved solutions by optimizing item sequences and allowable rotations, while placement evaluation is performed through a BLF-based decoding procedure. Experiments were conducted on standard container scenarios and field-based LCL shipment data. The results indicate that the application supports more structured stuffing planning and improves operational efficiency, as demonstrated in a field test where the required number of containers decreased from 9 to 7 (22% reduction) compared to planning without the application.
