Abstract

Industri plastik merupakan industri yang tetap tumbuh dibawah tekanan pandemi, pertumbuhan tersebut sebesar 11,72% (Kementerian Perindustrian, 2021). Industri palsik menjadi salah satu industri yang termasuk dalam prioritas pengembangan sesuai Rencana Pembangunan Industri Nasional (RIPIN) (Kementerian Perindustrian, 2019). Kontribusi industri plastik dan karet terhadap PDB cukup signifikan. Pada tahun 2018 industri plastik dan karet menyumbang PDB sebesar Rp. 92,6 triliun, dimana pencapaian tersebut terus meningkat dalam 5 tahun terakhir (Antara News, 2019). PT XYZ merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur plastik di Indonesia yang berlokasi di Jl Rungkut Industri III/27A Surabaya, Jawa Timur. CV X memproduksi beberapa jenis produk antara lain pallet & basket, jerry can, pail & gallon, PET, float & pearl basket, dan botol. Produk utama dari CV X adalah produk jerry can karena produk tersebut memiliki permintaan paling besar diantara produk lainnya. Dalam proses inti produksi produk jerry can, proses peramalan permintaan dari customer menjadi proses yang mempengaruhi proses-proses setelahnya. Permasalahan pada PT XYZ adalah terdapat ketidaktepatan pada peramalan terhadap permintaan yang fluktuatif sehingga berpengaruh terhadap perencanaan produksi dimana untuk meemenuhi permintaan yang tinggi perusahaan melakukan usaha percepatan produksi dan berpotensi terjadinya delay pada pelayanan. Hal tersebut tidak selaras dengan visi perusahaan serta juga berpengaruh terhadap besarnya biaya produksi, sehingga diperlukan perbaikan pada peramalan perusahaan serta perencanaan produksi yang dilakukan. Metode peramalan permintaan yang digunakan dipilih berdasarkan pola data pada data historis. Metode-metode tersebut adalah single exponential smoothing, moving average 3 dan 4 periode, dan regresi linier. Metode terbaik dipilih berdasarkan nilai error paling kecil dimana metode regresi menjadi metode terbaik pada rata-rata produk jerry can. Selanjutnya membuat perencanaan produksi S&OP dengan strategi chase, level, dan campuran dan 3 skenario yaitu jam kerja reguler, jam kerja lembur pada hari biasa, dan jam kerja lembur pada hari libur. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, strategi chase pada skenario jam kerja reguler memiliki total biaya paling minimum yaitu sebesar Rp 1.124.010.072,00.

The plastic industry is an industry that continues to grow under the pressure of the pandemic, the growth is 11.72% (Ministry of Industry, 2021). The contribution of the plastics and rubber industry to GDP is quite significant. In 2018 the plastic and rubber industry contributed Rp. 92.6 trillion, where this achievement has continued to increase in the last 5 years (Antara News, 2019). PT XYZ is one of the plastic manufacturing companies in Indonesia which is located on Jl Rungkut Industri III/27A Surabaya, East Java. CV X produces several types of products, including pallet & basket, jerry can, pail & gallon, PET, float & pearl basket, and bottles. The main product of CV X is the jerry can product because this product has the greatest demand among other products. In the core process of producing a jerry can product, the process of forecasting customer becomes a process that affects subsequent processes. Problems with PT XYZ is that there is an inaccuracy in the forecasting of fluctuating demand so that it affects production planning where to meet high demand the company makes efforts to accelerate production and has the potential to cause delays in service. This is not in line with the company's vision and also affects the durability of the machine, so improvements are needed in the company's forecasting and production planning. The demand forecasting method used is selected based on data patterns on historical data. These methods are single exponential smoothing, moving averages , and linear regression. The best method is chosen based on the smallest error value where the regression method is the best method on the average jerry can. Next, make S&OP production planning with chase, level, and mixed strategies and 3 scenarios, namely regular working hours, overtime hours on weekdays, and overtime hours on holidays. Based on the calculation results, the chase strategy in the regular working hours scenario has the minimum total cost of Rp 1.124.010.072,00.
