Abstract
Krisis lingkungan akibat akumulasi limbah plastik sekali pakai menuntut solusi material alternatif yang ramah lingkungan, ekonomis, dan layak secara teknis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyeleksi material pengganti plastik sekali pakai dengan pendekatan multi-criteria decision making (MCDM), menggunakan dua metode utama: analytic hierarchy process (AHP) untuk penentuan bobot kriteria dan technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) untuk pemeringkatan alternatif. Sebanyak 15 jenis material dikaji, meliputi polimer bio, material berbasis kertas, serta serat alam dan biomassa. Lima kriteria penilaian ditentukan melalui studi literatur: sifat mekanik, sifat termal, sifat barrier, aspek lingkungan (biodegradasi), dan aspek ekonomi. Hasil AHP menunjukkan bahwa aspek lingkungan merupakan kriteria paling penting dengan bobot (0,4711), disusul aspek ekonomi (0,2886), sifat mekanik (0,1249), sifat termal (0,0742) dan sifat barrier (0,0409). Nilai bobot ini kemudian digunakan dalam metode TOPSIS untuk menghitung jarak relatif tiap alternatif terhadap solusi ideal. Hasil akhir menunjukkan bahwa material Bio-PET memperoleh nilai preferensi tertinggi (Vᵢ = 0,7202), diikuti oleh PLA (0,5587), TPS (0,5281), PHA (0,4954), dan Selulosa Film (0,4830). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode gabungan AHP-TOPSIS efektif dalam mengevaluasi dan menentukan prioritas material alternatif secara objektif dan berbasis data. Penelitian lanjutan direkomendasikan untuk melakukan validasi eksperimental serta pengembangan sistem digital pendukung keputusan.Kata kunci: Plastik sekali pakai, seleksi material, AHP, TOPSIS, MCDM.

The environmental crisis caused by the accumulation of single-use plastic waste calls for alternative materials that are both eco-friendly, economic, and technically viable. This study aims to select suitable substitutes for single-use plastics using a multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) approach, employing two main methods: the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine the weight of evaluation criteria, and the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) to rank alternatives. A total of 15 materials were analyzed, including bio-based polymers, paper-based materials, and natural fiber or biomass-based materials. Five assessment criteria were established through literature review: mechanical properties, thermal properties, barrier performance, environmental impact (biodegradability), and economic aspects. AHP results showed that environmental impact was the most important criterion (0,4711), followed by economic (0,2886), mechanical (0,1249), thermal (0,0742), and barrier (0,0409). These weights were then applied in the TOPSIS method to calculate the relative distance of each alternative to the ideal solution. The results revealed that Bio-PET had the highest preference value (Vᵢ = 0,7202), followed by PLA (0,5587), TPS (0.530), PHA (0,4954) and cellulose film (0.4830). This study demonstrates that the combined AHP-TOPSIS approach is effective in evaluating and prioritizing alternative materials in a data-driven and objective manner.
