Abstract

Kualitas produk mencerminkan kapabilitas sistem produksi sekaligus menjadi penentu kepuasan konsumen. Ketidakkonsistenan dalam menjaga mutu produk dapat berdampak pada menurunnya kepercayaan dan loyalitas pelanggan. PT WPI, produsen ekspor Finger Joint Laminated Board (FJLB) berbahan kayu kruing menghadapi tantangan besar dalam menjaga konsistensi kualitas, terutama kadar air produk agar tetap pada rentang 10–15% untuk menjaga sifat mekanik dan kekuatan struktural produk. Tingginya standar penerimaan dari konsumen yang berperan sebagai sumber pendapatan utama menuntut perusahaan untuk melakukan pengendalian kualitas yang efisien, namun pengendalian kualitas yang diterapkan masih bersifat sederhana, terbatas pada pemeriksaan spesifikasi produk akhir tanpa disertai pengawasan proses secara statistik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi apakah proses produksi telah terkendali serta menilai kapabilitas proses dalam memenuhi spesifikasi. Metode yang digunakan meliputi peta kendali EWMA, analisis kapabilitas, serta evaluasi risiko melalui pendekatan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses produksi yang kapabel, faktor penyebab utama risiko ketidaksesuaian hasil produksi FJLB berupa pekerja kurang teliti memantau tekanan mesin boiler, tekanan uap boiler tidak stabil, suhu mesin Kiln Dry tidak merata, dan kesalahann pengaturan mesin boiler. Untuk mempermudah pemantauan hasil proses produksi secara real time, dirancanglah dashboard kapabilitas proses produksi menggunakan R programs melalui framework R Shiny.

Product quality reflects the capabilities of the production system and determines customer satisfaction. Inconsistency in maintaining product quality can lead to a decline in customer trust and loyalty. PT WPI, an exporter of Finger Joint Laminated Board (FJLB) made from kruing wood, faces a major challenge in maintaining consistent quality, particularly the moisture content of the product, which must remain within the range of 10-15% to preserve the mechanical properties and structural strength of the product. The high acceptance standards of consumers, who are the main source of revenue, require the company to implement efficient quality control. However, the quality control measures currently in place are still simple, limited to checking the specifications of the final product without statistical process control. This study aims to identify whether the production process is under control and to assess the process capability in meeting specifications. The methods used include EWMA control charts, capability analysis, and risk evaluation through the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) approach. The results of the study indicate that the production process is capable, and the main factors causing the risk of FJLB production output inconsistency are workers who are not careful in monitoring boiler pressure, unstable boiler steam pressure, uneven Kiln Dry machine temperature, and boiler machine setting errors. To facilitate real-time monitoring of production process results, a production process capability dashboard was designed using R programs through the R Shiny framework.
