Abstract

Digital transformation in education emphasizes the importance of e-learning systems that are not only functional but also possess a high level of usability. This study aims to evaluate the usability of the myITS Classroom Learning Management System (LMS) used at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), with a focus on students of the Faculty of Vocational Studies. The evaluation is based on the ISO/IEC 9126 standard, which includes four usability sub-characteristics: understandability, learnability, operability, and attractiveness. This research adopts a quantitative approach using the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method to analyze the relationships among variables. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed to active students from the 2022 to 2024 cohorts. The results indicate that myITS Classroom users provide positive evaluations across all usability dimensions, and the SEM-PLS analysis confirms that the research instrument is valid and reliable. Usability is proven to have a strong effect on user satisfaction, with attractiveness as the most dominant factor, followed by operability, while understandability and learnability show positive but insignificant effects. The research model also demonstrates excellent predictive capability in explaining the relationship between usability and user satisfaction.
