Abstract

Industri genteng memegang peranan penting dalam sektor konstruksi dan perekonomian lokal di Indonesia. Namun, keberlanjutan produsen genteng tradisional menghadapi tantangan akibat persaingan dengan genteng modern serta minimnya penerapan standar mutu produk. Hingga saat ini, UD Genteng Uye Kayen belum menerapkan analisis kualitas produksi secara statistik, sehingga kondisi kapabilitas proses produksi belum dapat diketahui secara objektif, termasuk apakah telah terjadi peningkatan kualitas dari waktu ke waktu. Suatu proses produksi dikatakan kapabel apabila berada dalam kondisi terkendali secara statistik serta memiliki tingkat presisi dan akurasi yang tinggi. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi kapabilitas proses selama periode bulan Juli dan Agustus 2025. Analisis dilakukan pada produk genteng tipe Mantili selama periode Juli–Agustus 2025 menggunakan peta kendali atribut metode Demerit yang memberikan pembobotan berdasarkan tingkat keparahan cacat, serta dilanjutkan dengan analisis kapabilitas proses untuk menilai kesesuaian output terhadap spesifikasi perusahaan. Jenis cacat yang dianalisis meliputi cacat retak ringan, cacat hitam, cacat kesalahan cetak, dan cacat hancur total. Dengan menggunakan Peta Kendali Demerit proses produksi bulan Juli 2025 dan bulan Agustus 2025 dinyatakan terkendali dengan rata-rata BKA 0,039 dan BKB 0,022 pada bulan Juli dan BKA 0,036 dan BKB 0,020 pada bulan Agustus yang menunjukkan data terkendali. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa proses produksi pada Fase I dan Fase II berada dalam kondisi kapabel secara statistik dengan nilai indeks kapabilitas proses (Cp) masing-masing sebesar 2,237 dan 2,664, yang mengindikasikan tingkat presisi proses yang tinggi. Cacat retak ringan merupakan jenis cacat yang paling sering terjadi, yang mengindikasikan adanya ketidakteraturan pada tahap pengeringan dan/atau pembakaran.

The roof tile industry plays a vital role in the construction sector and the local economy in Indonesia. However, the sustainability of traditional roof tile producers faces challenges due to competition from modern roof tiles and the lack of implementation of product quality standards. To date, UD Genteng Uye Kayen has not implemented statistical production quality analysis, so the condition of the production process capability cannot be objectively determined, including whether there has been an increase in quality over time. A production process is considered capable if it is in a statistically controlled condition and has a high level of precision and accuracy. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to identify process capability during the period of July and August 2025. The analysis was conducted on Mantili type roof tile products during the period of July–August 2025 using the Demerit method attribute control chart that provides weighting based on defect severity, and continued with process capability analysis to assess the conformity of output to company specifications. The types of defects analyzed included light cracks, black defects, printing errors, and total destruction. By using the Demerit Control Chart, the production process in July 2025 and August 2025 was declared under control with an average UCL of 0.039 and LCL of 0.022 in July and UCL of 0.036 and LCL of 0.020 in August, indicating controlled data. The analysis results showed that the production process in Phase I and Phase II was in a statistically capable condition with a process capability index (Cp) value of 2.237 and 2.664, respectively, indicating a high level of process precision. Light crack defects were the most frequent type of defects, indicating irregularities in the drying and/or firing stages.
