Abstract

Online Product Reviews (OPRs) contain consumer reviews on online sales. OPRs are valuable information during the COVID-19 pandemic to improve services, sales, and product development that need to be utilized more optimally. This research was conducted to develop a product design for one of the Muslim women's fashions called the fashion muslim Shop (MFS). The purpose of this study is to explore the use of OPRs to develop modular cutting in Muslim women's fashion that supports the Design for Longevity (DfL) concept. The research method used is a mixed method approach carried out through five phases. The first phase is the OPRs text data collection phase as an effort to get consumer voices from the Shopee platform. Next, the second phase is to get detailed information on fashion quality from a team of experts using word frequency expert judgment analysis. A third phase is an innovative approach to women's fashion muslim products based on the design requirements of the second phase. Then in the fourth phase, an alternative design for Muslim women's modular fashion was developed to support DfL. The fifth phase is to evaluate the design using the DfL evaluation chart. The conclusion of this study shows that OPRs are beneficial for fashion product innovation and design innovation, the voice of consumers in the new normal is important for the development of Muslim women's fashion products and fashion muslim modular innovation applies modular alternative models into nine alternative Muslim women's fashion designs that have designs that are under Design for Longevity (DfL) criteria.
