Abstract

Perusahaan Sarung Tangan (PST) merupakan perusahaan di Jawa Timur yang memproduksi sarung tangan rajut. Sarung tangan rajut digunakan sebagai alat pelindung diri (APD) pada industri perkebunan, pertanian, perikanan, maupun kegiatan konstruksi. Dalam proses manufakturnya ditemukan indikasi ketidakseimbangan lini produksi yang menyebabkan terjadinya waste hasil produksi. Menurunnya efisiensi karena adanya waste proses produksi menyebabkan timbulnya biaya yang tidak diperlukan. Ditemukan indikasi waste yaitu waste waiting, transportation, dan beberapa waste lainnya. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengeliminasi waste pada proses produksi sarung tangan di PST dengan implementasi 7-step customized problem solving. Dengan menggunakan Value Stream Mapping, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Pareto Chart, dan Design Measure Analyze Improve Control (DMAIC). Metode 7-step customized problem solving dikelompokkan sesuai DMAIC yaitu pada tahap Design berisi tahap loss identification, loss stratification, dan project selection; pada tahap Analyze dengan menggunakan 5-Why Analysis, dan Fishbone (Ishikawa) Diagram; pada tahap Improve menerapkan konsep kaizen dan berisi tahap benefit realization; selanjutnya di tahap control berisi roll out and share. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatkan implementasi 7-step customized problem solving dikembangkan pada setiap proses DMAIC dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktifitas pada perusahaan. Nilai sigma yang sebelumnya 3,81 dapat ditingkatkan sampai 4 sigma, efisiensi berdasarkan OEE sebelumnya 50% dapat meningkat menjadi 65%, dan pengurangan biaya yang timbul akibat adanya waste defect sejumlah Rp260.026.100. Dan beberapa indirect benefits yang dikategorikan pada hidden factory dan time trap.

Glove Company (PST) is a company in East Java that produces knitted gloves. Knitted gloves are used as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the plantation industry, agriculture, fisheries, and construction activities. In the manufacturing process, an indication of an imbalance in the production line is found that causes production waste to occur. The decrease in efficiency and effectiveness of the production process causes a decrease in the company's revenue. There are indications of waste related to waiting, transportation, and several other wastes. This research is aimed at eliminating waste in the glove production process at PST by implementing a 7-step customized problem solving. By using Value Stream Mapping, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Pareto Chart, and Design Measure Analyze Improve Control (DMAIC). The 7-step customized problem solving method is grouped according to DMAIC, namely at the Design stage, which contains the stages of loss identification, loss stratification, and project selection; at the Analyze stage using 5-Why Analysis, and Fishbone (Ishikawa) Diagram; at the Improve stage, applying the concept of kaizen and containing the benefit realization stage; then in the control stage contains roll out and share. The results of the research that have been carried out show that the 7-step customized problem solving implementation developed in each DMAIC process can increase efficiency and productivity in the company. The previous sigma value of 3.81 can be increased to 4 sigma, the efficiency based on the previous OEE of 50% can be increased to 65%, and the reduction in costs incurred due to waste defects amounting to Rp.260,026,100. And some indirect benefits which are categorized as hidden factory and time trap.
