Abstract

Untuk mengurangi kegagalan yang menyebabkan besarnya anggaran, maka perlu dilakukan analisa pada komponen penggerak kapal yaitu pada propeller . Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) merupakan salah satu transmisi gerak kapal yang berfungsi mendorong kapal melaju ke tempat tujuan. Saat mendorong kapal terjadi distribusi tekanan dan gaya. Gaya dorong kapal merupakan komponen yang digunakan untuk mengatasi tahanan pada kapal. Gaya dorong menimbulkan distribusi tekanan pada propeller. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan propeller CPP C4-40, pada analisa distribusi gaya gorong digunakan software Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) yang menghasilkan thrust, selanjutnya dianalisa pada Finite Element Method (FEM). analisa bertujuan untuk mengetahui tegangan pada komponen propeller serta bagaimana keadanya pada tiga kondisi sudut, 0 ; +22,5 ; +45 serta pada tiga material yang digunakan yaitu Carbon Fiber, Aluminium Alloy, serta Manganese Bronze. Tegangan maksimal pada propeller C4-40 terdapat pada material Carbon Fiber pada komponen face blade kondisi sudut +45 yaitu sebesar 0,32 Mpa, sementara untuk kondisi minimum tegangan propeller C4-40 terdapat pada komponen flange pada sudut +45 pada material Carbon Fiber, Aluminium Alloy, dan Manganese Bronze yaitu sebesar 0,02 Mpa.. Dari hasil nilai tegangan yang didapatkan dapat disimpulkan bahwa semua nilai tekanan yang terjadi pada propeller C4 - 40 masih memenuhi safety faktor

To reduce failures that cause the size of the budget, it is necessary to analyze the ship's propulsion components, namely on the propeller. Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) is one of the ship's motion transmissions that functions to encourage the ship to drive to its destination. When pushing the vessel occurs the distribution of pressure and force. The thrust of the ship is a component used to overcome resistance on the ship. The thrust exerts a pressure distribution on the propeller. In this study using the CPP C4-40 propeller, the analysis used culvert force distribution analysis in Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software with the output thrusts, then analyzed in the Finite Element Method (FEM). The analysis aims to find out the stress in the propeller component and how it exists in three angular conditions, 0 ; +22,5 ; +45 and in the three materials used, carbon fiber, aluminum alloy, and manganese bronze. The maximum stress in the C4-40 propeller is found in the carbon fiber material in the face blade component at an angle condition of +45 which is 0.32 Mpa, while for the minimum condition the C4-40 propeller stress is found in the flange component at an angle of +45 in carbon fiber, aluminum alloy, and manganese Bronze materials, which is 0.02 Mpa.. From the results of the stress value obtained, it can be concluded that all pressure values that occur in the propeller C4 - 40 still meet the safety factor
