Abstract

PT. Eco Prima Energi merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri bahan kimia organik (biodiesel) di Indonesia. Perusahaan minyak dan gas adalah salah satu instansi dengan risiko kebakaran dan ledakan yang tinggi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sistem proteksi kebakaran pada penanganan sesegera mungkin. Untuk meminimalisir terjadinya kebakaran tersebut maka diterapkan suatu sistem manajemen kebakaran. Salah satu regulasi yang mengatur hal tersebut tertuang dalam National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Pada NFPA 20 diatur mengenai standar instalasi pompa dan perlengkapannya sebagai sistem proteksi kebakaran. Selama ini PT. Eco Prima Energi menjalankan sistem pemadam kebakaran menggunakan tiga pompa pemadam kebakaran dengan 2 pompa berkapasitas sebesar 140 m3/h dan 1 pompa berkapasitas sebesar 10 m3/h. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan perhitungan dengan skenario penggunaan beberapa pompa pemadam, hal ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja pompa berdasarkan standard tersebut, dalam mengendalikan api saat terjadi kebakaran. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai head pompa sebesar 90.3 meter dengan kapasitas sebesar 240 m3/h masih memenuhi dari standard NFPA 20. Dengan kapasitas pompa sebesar 240 m3/h mampu mengalirkan lebih besar dari 150 persen rated capacity dengan nilai 210 m3/h. Kemudian nilai head pompa tidak melebihi dari nilai 140% head pompa pada titik rated nya, dengan hasil 90 m tidak melebihi 140 m.

PT. Eco Prima Energi is one of the companies engaged in the organic chemical industry (biodiesel) in Indonesia. Oil and gas companies are one of the agencies with a high risk of fire and explosion. Therefore, a fire protection system is needed in handling as soon as possible. To minimize the occurrence of these fires, a fire management system is applied. One of the regulations governing this is contained in the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). NFPA 20 regulates the installation standards of pumps and their equipment as a fire protection system. During this time PT. Eco Prima Energi runs a fire extinguishing system using three fire pumps with 2 pumps with a capacity of 140 m3/h and 1 pump with a capacity of 10 m3/h. In this study, calculations were carried out with the scenario of using several extinguishing pumps, this aims to evaluate the performance of the pump based on these standards, in controlling fire when a fire occurs. From the results of the study, it was found that the pump head value of 90.3 meters with a capacity of 240 m3/h still meets the NFPA 20 standard. With a pump capacity of 240 m3/h it is able to flow greater than 150 percent of the rated capacity with a value of 210 m3/h. Then the value of the pump head does not exceed the value of 140 percent of the pump head at its rated point, with the result that 90 m does not exceed 140 m.
