Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh rasio Si/Al terhadap morfologi, luas permukaan, struktur pori, dan aktivitas aluminosilikat mesopori sebagai adsorben zat warna metilen biru. Aluminosilikat mesopori disintesis menggunakan metode solvotermal dengan kombinasi templat komersil – alami (P123 – gelatin) dan TEOS sebagai sumber silika, sedangkan sumber alumina berasal dari natrium aluminat. Aluminosilikat mesopori dikarakterisasi dengan XRD yang menghasilkan struktur amorf dengan puncak difraksi yang lebar di daerah 2 tetha 13° hingga 33°. Hasil FTIR menunjukkan gugus khas aluminosilikat Si – O – Si, Si – OH, T – O (T ; Si atau Al), dan Si – O – T. Analisis struktur dan morfologi dengan SEM menunjukkan struktur material yang tidak teratur. Pada analisis unsur menggunakan EDX didapatkan material aluminosilikat mengandung Si, Al, O, dan Na. Aluminosilikat mesopori hasil sintesis memiliki luas permukaan meso sekitar 563 – 591 m2/g dengan diameter pori yaitu 3,82 – 4,20 nm. Uji adsorpsi metilen biru pada aluminosilikat mesopori didapatkan hasil adsorpsi terbaik dengan rasio Si/Al 30 pada konsentrasi optimum 110 mg/L dengan kapasitas adsorpsi sebesar 74,05 mg/g dan persen removal sebesar 33,7%.

This study aims to determine the influence of the Si/Al ratio on morphology, surface area, pore structure, and mesoporous aluminosilicate activity as an adsorbent of methylene blue dye. Mesoporous aluminosilicate is synthesized using the solvothermal method with a combination of commercial templates – natural (P123 – gelatin) and TEOS as a source of silica, while the source of alumina comes from sodium aluminate. Mesoporous aluminosilicate is characterized by XRD resulting in an amorphous structure with a wide diffraction peak in the region of 2 tethas. The FTIR results showed a typical group of aluminosilicates Si – O – Si, Si – OH, T – O (T ; Si or Al), and Si – O – T. Analysis of structure and morphology with SEM shows an irregular structure of the material. In the analysis of elements using EDX, aluminosilicate material was obtained containing Si, Al, O, and Na. The meso-inspired aluminosilicate synthesis has a meso surface area of about 563 – 591 m2/g with a pore diameter of 3.82 – 4.20 nm. The methylene blue adsorption test on mesoporous aluminosilicate obtained the best adsorption results with a Si/Al 30 ratio at an optimum concentration of 110 mg/L with an adsorption capacity of 74.05 mg/g and a percent removal of 33.7 %.
