Abstract
Penggunaan LPG untuk industri terus meningkat antara lain sebagai bahan baku maupun bahan pendukung di berbagai industri penghasil berbagai macam produk antara lain deodoran, minyak wangi, kosmetik, kendaraan bermotor dan sebagainya. Dengan meningkatnya kebutuhan terutama untuk kawasan Pasifik, maka LPG merupakan bahan bakar penting di masa mendatang. DME sebagai bahan bakar dapat dimanfaatkan secara langsung maupun sebagai campuran. Pengembangan DME tahap awal bisa didorong dengan skema mandatori DME dicampur sebanyak 20% ke LPG. Dengan berdirinya pabrik DME dari batubara, maka diharapkan dapat mengurangi kebutuhan impor DME oleh Indonesia DME dari batubara melalui beberapa tahapan proses yaitu Coal Pre-treatment Unit, Gasification Unit, Water Gas Shift Unit, COS Hydrolysis Unit, Acid Gas Removal Unit, DME Synthesis Unit, Purification Unit.Rencana pendirian pabrik ini akan dilakukan selama dua tahun dengan umur pabrik selama 15 tahun. Untuk memproduksi DME sebanyak 34.000 ton/tahun, diperlukan operating expenditures (OPEX) sebesar $35.119.474,88 dengan capital expenditures (CAPEX) sebesar $22.675.990, total penjualan sebesar $57.800.000. Sumber dana investasi berasal dari modal sendiri sebesar 40% dan modal pinjaman sebesar 60%. Berdasarkan analisa ekonomi, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) pabrik ini sebesar 25,25% dengan bunga sebesar 8% per tahun dan laju inflasi 1,75%. Sedangkan untuk Pay Out Time (POT) selama 5 tahun, Break Even Point (BEP) sebesar 38,75%, dan Net Present Value (NPV) yang bernilai positif yaitu sebesar $36.373.891.

The use of LPG for industry continues to increase, among others, as a raw material and supporting material in various industries that produce various products, including deodorants, perfumes, cosmetics, motor vehicles and so on. With the increasing demand, especially for the Pacific region, LPG is an important fuel in the future. DME as a fuel can be used directly or as a mixture. Early DME development can be encouraged by the mandatory scheme of mixed DME as much as 20% to LPG. With the establishment of a DME factory from coal, it is expected to reduce the need for DME imports by IndonesiaDME from coal goes through several process stages, namely Coal Pre-treatment Unit, Gasification Unit, Water Gas Shift Unit, COS Hydrolysis Unit, Acid Gas Removal Unit, DME Synthesis Unit, Purification Unit.The plan to establish this factory will be carried out for two years with a factory life of 15 years. To produce 34,000 tonnes/year of DME, operating expenditures (OPEX) of $35,119,474.88 are required with capital expenditures (CAPEX) of $22,675,990, total sales of $57,800,000. The source of investment funds comes from own capital by 40% and loan capital by 60%. Based on economic analysis, the factory's Internal Rate of Return (IRR) is 25.25% with an interest rate of 8% per year and an inflation rate of 1.75%. As for the Pay Out Time (POT) for 5 years, the Break Even Point (BEP) is 38.75%, and the Net Present Value (NPV) which is positive is $36,373,891.
