Abstract

PT. PLN (Persero) is a State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) which is engaged in the field of electricity, starting from the supply of electricity to distributing electricity to all Indonesian citizens. Technological developments in modern times have resulted in increasing consumer electricity needs, therefore PT. PLN must periodically carry out various construction projects and facility installations in all regions in Indonesia to provide maximum service to consumers. Based on company data, in 2021 PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Pekanbaru has started 138 projects. However, of all these projects, only 6% of projects were completed according to the specified deadline. Meanwhile, 94% of projects finished late or are still in the process of being completed which has also passed the project deadline. This research will focus on how to identify and manage the potential risks that will cause delays in the completion of Medium Voltage Cable Line (SKTM) installation project at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Pekanbaru. Based on the historical data of previous SKTM installation project at the company, the probability distribution for the activity duration of the object will be calculated as an input for the Monte Carlo simulation to find out the estimation of the delay. Then, the level of risks potential of activities will be calculated with ACCI (Activity Compound Criticality Index). Based on the ACCI calculation result, there are 2 activities with highest, 2 activities with higher, 4 activities with moderate, 3 activities with lower, and 8 activities with lowest risk potential. At the highest, higher, and moderate risk, planning for mitigation efforts will be carried out. After that, a Monte Carlo simulation was carried out which determined the estimated delay for 160 days and the estimated penalty of Rp 80,572,345.
