Abstract

Along with the development of technology, oil drilling is not only done on land but also offshore. Offshore drilling requires new technology and various types of offshore platforms. One type of offshore platform that is often used is the Jacket platform. Jacket platforms are structures that are built in shallow water and can be physically attached to the seabed. The process of constructing offshore buildings is called fabrication. One of the fabrication processes is the lifting process. In the lifting process, there are often failures in a structure. In this study, a reliability analysis was carried out on one of the components of the lifting, namely the sling. The first step is the structural modeling. The results of the structural modeling obtained a rigging configuration using 4 cranes and 16 slings. Then the unity member check has the largest value at 0.93 which is still safe because it is less than 1. Meanwhile, the deflection check is also still within the safe limit, which in the calculation has a deflection value that is lower than the limit. Then do the analysis of the monte carlo simulation and the probability of failure on crane 1 is 0%. Then also obtained an 100% chance of success. For crane 2 the probability of failure is 0 % and the probability of success is 100 %, for crane 3 the probability of failure is 0% and the probability of success is 100 %, for crane 4 the probability of failure is 0% and the probability of success is 100%. Then the reliability of the system is determined using a series system and the system reliability value is 1.
