Abstract

=================================================================================================================================
The results of the work and innovations carried out by the academic community from universities such as lecturers and students are generally stored in the academic library to be accessed by the wider community. Web-based academic libraries have advantages in terms of ease of access, especially if the web is responsive, which can be opened flexibly with various screen sizes, and supports various data visualizations that can assist decision making. So far, the achievements of the ITS academic community are stored in a web-based academic library application called ITS Resource or RESITS. RESITS is then further developed in terms of features and broader data integration in RESITS 2.0. The design of the application user interface is carried out using the User-Centered Design method which puts the user as the focus of the design created. With the User-Centered Design method, several stages are carried out starting with user research, then evaluation namely usability testing with seven participants evaluating the application design in three iterations and followed by heuristic evaluation involving experts to evaluate the application design, and followed by the implementation of the application into a responsive website. From the evaluation carried out, the result is that there are two tasks that are significantly different based on the time of task performance between the evaluation iterations carried out, but there are no significant differences based on the age group and gender of the evaluation participants. For the ease of doing tasks through SEQ, the three iterations have increased which shows that users are increasingly finding it easier to use the application. Likewise, the increase in overall system assessment through SUS from the three iterations shows the increasing usability of the application.
