Abstract
Penjadwalan ujian merupakan proses kompleks yang melibatkan banyak variabel dan kendala. Di lingkungan Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), proses penjadwalan ujian saat ini masih memiliki tantangan dalam efisiensi dan fleksibilitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem penjadwalan ujian otomatis yang bersifat generik dengan menerapkan algoritma Hyper-Heuristic. Hyper-Heuristic dipilih karena kemampuannya dalam memilih dan mengombinasikan berbagai heuristik untuk menyelesaikan masalah optimasi yang kompleks secara lebih adaptif dibandingkan heuristik tunggal. Sistem yang dikembangkan dirancang untuk mampu menangani berbagai jenis kendala yang ada di departemen-departemen di ITS. Pengujian sistem dilakukan menggunakan data riil dari beberapa departemen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang berbasis algoritma Hyper-Heuristic mampu menghasilkan jadwal yang memenuhi kendala keras dengan tingkat pelanggaran kendala lunak yang lebih rendah dibandingkan metode manual atau heuristik konvensional. Sistem ini diharapkan dapat memberikan solusi yang lebih efisien dan mudah diimplementasikan untuk kebutuhan penjadwalan ujian di lingkungan ITS.

Exam scheduling is a complex process involving many variables and constraints. In the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) environment, the exam scheduling process currently faces challenges in efficiency and flexibility. This study aims to develop a generic automated exam scheduling system by applying the Hyper-Heuristic algorithm. Hyper-Heuristic was chosen due to its ability to select and combine various heuristics to solve complex optimization problems more adaptively than single heuristics. The developed system is designed to handle various types of constraints existing in departments at ITS. System testing was conducted using real data from several departments. The results show that the Hyper-Heuristic algorithm-based system is capable of generating schedules that satisfy hard constraints with a lower rate of soft constraint violations compared to manual methods or conventional heuristics. This system is expected to provide a more efficient and easily implemented solution for exam scheduling needs in the ITS environment.
