Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the intention to use cryptocurrency exchangers as an investment instrument using a modified Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The research model consists of variables such as Behavioral Intention, Attitude, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, and additional variables including Trust, Social Influence, Design, Regulatory Support, and Experience. The data analysis method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with a Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) approach. Data were collected through questionnaires from 311 respondents who are users of cryptocurrency exchangers registered with BAPPEBTI. The results show that 9 out of 11 tested hypotheses have a positive and significant influence, while 2 hypotheses are not significant. Factors proven to influence the intention to use include Attitude, Perceived Usefulness, Trust, Design, Regulatory Support, and Experience. Improvements to the Perceived Ease of Use and Social Influence variables are suggested to increase user intention, and the addition of Financial Literacy and Facilitating Conditions variables is proposed for future research.
