Abstract

Pada sistem kelistrikan, kontinuitas, kualitas daya, dan keandalan sistem merupakan hal yang sangat penting. Suatu sistem tenaga dikatakan andal, ketika jarang terjadi gangguan dan jikalaupun terjadi, durasinya berlangsung singkat. Oleh karena itu, penting sekali untuk melakukan analisis kestabilan. Stabilitas transien merupakan kemampuan suatu sistem untuk mempertahankan sinkronisasinya ketika terjadi gangguan dalam periode transien. Critical clearing time (CCT) erat kaitannya dengan kestabilan transien. CCT adalah waktu maksimum pemutusan gangguan yang diperbolehkan untuk mengisolasi gangguan . Ketika suautu gangguan terjadi dan circuit breaker tidak mampu membuka sebelum nilai CCT, maka sistem akan menjadi tidak stabil sehingga dapat menyebabkan hilangnya sinkronisasi generator. Dalam tugas akhir ini dilakukan pembuktian bahwa kapasitor ataupun reaktor mampu untuk memperbaiki nilai CCT sistem. Simulasi dilakukan dengan pemasangan kapasitor ataupun reaktor pada sistem 3 generator-9 bus. Metode yang digunakan untuk perhitungan nilai CCT adalah metode Time Domain Simulation. Pemasangan reaktor maupun kapasitor juga dilakukan dengan memperhatikan kondisi tegangan bus sistem untuk mendapatkan hasil perbaikan nilai CCT yang optimal.

In electrical systems, continuity, power quality and system reliability are very important. A power system is said to be reliable when disturbances are rare and if they do occur, the duration is short. Therefore, it is very important to carry out a stability analysis. Transient stability is the ability of a system to maintain its synchronization when there is a disturbance in the transient period. Critical clearing time (CCT) is closely related to transient stability. CCT is the maximum time the interruption is allowed to isolate the failure. When a disturbance occurs and the circuit breaker is not able to open before the CCT value, the system will become unstable which can cause loss of generator synchronization. In this final project, it is want to prove that the capacitor or reactor is able to improve the CCT value of the system. Simulations are carried out by installing capacitors or reactors on a 3 generator-9 bus system. The method used to calculate the CCT value is the Time Domain Simulation method. The installation of reactors and capacitors is also carried out by considering the condition of the system bus voltage to obtain optimal results of improving the CCT value.
