Abstract

Generator turbin uap adalah komponen penting dalam pembangkit listrik yang berfungsi mengubah energi uap panas bertekanan menjadi energi listrik. Dalam dunia Industri, kegagalan dari generator yang merupakan sumber suplai daya dapat menimbulkan kerugian yang tinggi. Oleh karena itu, generator harus dilengkapi dengan sistem proteksi yang tepat. PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional Unit Cilacap adalah Subholding Refining & Petrochemical PT Pertamina (Persero) yang merupakan Perusahaan induk strategis. PT KPI mengembangkan investasi dan menjalankan bisnis Pertamina terkait pengolahan minyak dan gas bumi. Kebutuhan kelistrikan PT KPI diproduksi oleh sistem pembangkitan sendiri (5x8 MW) dan (4x20 MW) dan disuplai dari Konsumen Tegangan Tinggi (KTT) 150 kV PLN. Operasi sistem kelistrikan Refinery Unit IV bersifat stand-alone (tidak terhubung dengan pembangkit PLN), maka generator berperan sebagai sumber energi utama. Selain itu juga terdapat pergantian manufaktur relay, yang sebelumnya menggunakan GEH, GEK, dan Toshiba menjadi GE Multilin 889. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan evaluasi sistem proteksi generator sebagai lapisan pengaman terakhir sebelum dikeluarkannya perintah pemutusan operasi secara otomatis. Hal ini dilakukan dengan melakukan simulasi aliran daya dan hubung singkat dari sistem kelistrikan PT KPI Refinery Unit IV Cilacap pada ETAP 19 dan melakukan perhitungan dan penyesuaian pengaturan rele dengan standar dengan menggunakan Excel. Hasil penelitian tersebut dapat dijadikan rekomendasi untuk pengaturan sistem proteksi internal generator pada Pertamina Refinery Unit IV Cilacap.

Steam turbine generators are important components in power plants that function to convert high-pressure thermal steam energy into electrical energy. In the industrial sector, failure of generators as power supply sources can cause significant losses. Therefore, generators must be equipped with appropriate protection systems. PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional Unit Cilacap is the Refining & Petrochemical Subholding of PT Pertamina (Persero), which is a strategic holding company. PT KPI develops investments and conducts Pertamina’s business related to oil and gas processing. The electrical power demand of PT KPI is supplied by its own generation system consisting of (5 × 8 MW) and (4 × 20 MW) units and is also supplied from the 150 kV High Voltage Customer (KTT) grid of PLN. The electrical system operation of Refinery Unit IV is stand-alone and not interconnected with the PLN power generation system; therefore, the generators serve as the main source of energy. In addition, there has been a change in relay manufacturers, from previously using GEH, GEK, and Toshiba to GE Multilin 889. Therefore, an evaluation of the generator protection system is required as the last layer of protection before the issuance of an automatic operating disconnection command. This is carried out by performing power flow and short-circuit simulations of the PT KPI Refinery Unit IV Cilacap electrical system using ETAP 19 and by calculating and adjusting relay settings based on standards using Excel. The results of this study can be used as recommendations for the internal generator protection system settings at Pertamina Refinery Unit IV Cilacap
