Abstract

Isu yang diangkat pada perancangan kali ini adalah memori manusia, dimana memori merupakan tempat disimpannya seluruh informasi yang sudah pernah dialami sebelumnya. Permasalahan yang dirasa relevan dengan isu ini adalah penyakit Alzheimer. Penyakit Alzheimer adalah penyakit otak yang mengakibatkan penurunan daya ingat, kemampuan berpikir dan berbicara, serta perubahan perilaku secara bertahap. Namun, belum ditemukan obat yang dapat menyembuhkan penyakit ini. Penyakit Alzheimer hanya dapat direda oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya adalah faktor lingkungan yang mendukung. Dari faktor lingkungan ini akhirnya arsitektur akan berperan untuk menyediakan suatu lingkungan yang dapat mewadahi seluruh aktivitas para pasien Alzheimer, objek rancangan yang akan dihadirkan merupakan pusat rehabilitasi dimana mayoritas masalah pada pusat rehabilitasi yang ada adalah kurangnya dampak positif yang diberikan terhadap para pasien karena kurang spesifiknya suatu tempat perawatan tersebut dirancang. Hal ini akan direspon oleh objek rancangan dimana nantinya objek rancangan akan mewadahi aktivitas para pasien untuk menjalani kehidupan yang bebas saat berada di dalamnya. Pendekatan yang dilakukan merupakan pendekatan terhadap sensory architecture dimana nantinya panca indera manusia menjadi acuan utama dalam mendesain.

The issue raised in this design is human memory, where memory is a place where all information that has been experienced before is stored. The problem that is considered relevant to this issue is Alzheimer's disease. Alzheimer's disease is a brain disease that causes a gradual decline in memory, thinking and speaking abilities, and changes in behavior. However, no drug has been found that can cure this disease. Alzheimer's disease can only be alleviated by several factors, one of which is a supportive environmental factor. From these environmental factors, finally architecture will play a role in providing an environment that can accommodate all the activities of Alzheimer's patients, the design object that will be presented is a rehabilitation center where the majority of problems in existing rehabilitation centers are the lack of positive impact on patients due to the lack of specificity of a rehabilitation center. where the treatment is designed. This will be responded by the design object where later the design object will accommodate the activities of the patients to live a free life while in it. The approach taken is an approach to sensory architecture where the five human senses will become the main reference in designing.
