Abstract

Tingginya angka disabilitas fisik diindonesia khususnya daerah jawa timur dengan kurang diperhatikannya para kaum disabilitas khususnya disabilitas fisik hingga hari ini yang dimana banyak destinasi destinasi diindonesia yang belum ramah, kurang pedulinya bahkan belum memberikan rasa nyaman bagi kaum difabel atau penyandang cacat. Penyandang disabilitas di Indonesia masih merasakan susahnya menikmati fasilitas obyek wisata, hotel, dan akses travelling. Untuk aksesibilitas yang sudah ditentukan dalam undang-undang nomor 4/1997 tentang penyandang disabilitas yaitu merupakan kemudahan yang diberkan bagi penyandang disabilitas guna mewujudkan kesetaraan dalam segala aspek kehidupan secara oprerasional, sehingga mengakibatkan keterbatasan ruang gerak mereka dan kurangnya interaksi terhadap dunia luar dan masyarakat sekitar. Disamping itu ada beberapa bangunan yang ramah terhadap para pengidap disabilitas fisik bisa dijadikan tempat untuk menghilangkan kebosanan dan juga sebagai healing mental bagi pengidap disabilitas fisik. Untuk memecahkan masalah tersebut saya merancang sebuah objek rancangan dengan memanfaatkan pendekatan desain arsitektur universal. Penggunaan pendekatan arsitektur universal diharapkan dapat memberikan kenyamananbagi pengguna baik kaum disabilitas maupun non disabilitas dan dapat menjadi sebuah jembatan penghubung bagi kaum disabilitas dan non disabilitas sehingga tidak ada batasan sosial serta memberikan ruang lingkup yang luas agar dapat lebih mudah berinteraksi pada lingkungan sekitar khususnya masyarakat sekitar dengan memperhatikan prinsip prinsip desainarsitektur universal.

The high number of physical disabilities in Indonesia, especially the East Java area, with the lack of attention to people with disabilities, especially physical disabilities to this day where many destinations in Indonesia are not friendly, care less and have not even provided a sense of comfort for people with disabilities or people with disabilities. People with disabilities in Indonesia still find it difficult to enjoy tourist facilities, hotels, and travel access. For accessibility which has been determined in Law No. 4/1997 on persons with disabilities, namely the facilities provided for persons with disabilities in order to realize equality in all aspects of life operationally, resulting in limited space for them and lack of interaction with the outside world and the surrounding community. Besides that, there are several buildings that are friendly to people with physical disabilities, which can be used as a place to relieve boredom and also as mental healing for people with physical disabilities. To solve this problem, I designed a design object using an universal architectural design approach. The use of an universal architectural approach is expected to provide comfort for both disabled and non-disabled users and can be a connecting bridge for people with disabilities and non-disabled people so that there are no social boundaries and provide a broad scope so that they can more easily interact with the surrounding environment, especially the surrounding community. taking into account the principles of universal architectural design.
