Abstract

The installation planning of tubular scaffolding (Tube & Coupler) was carried out to provide inspection access for the Marine Loading Arm (MLA) 0602 at Jetty 1 of PT. Siam Maspion Terminal. The design phases were executed sequentially, starting from the site survey and 3D modeling, up to the generation of Detailed Engineering Drawings (DED) using Autodesk Inventor. The material specification utilized galvanized pipes according to the BS 1139 standard, with structural calculations referencing AS/NZS 1576.1 and BS EN 12811. Structural feasibility was simulated in SAP2000 by applying load combination parameters: dead load, live load (medium duty 320 kg), and extreme wind loads of 30-50 knots. The analysis results indicated that the vertical deflection, horizontal deflection, and pipe element stress values were well below the maximum allowable tolerance limits. The scaffolding structure is verified as safe to work, highly feasible technically, and fully complies with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) criteria for operational implementation.
