Abstract

Mobilitas yang aman dan mandiri merupakan kebutuhan mendasar bagi penyandang tunanetra. Kesulitan dalam mengenali zebra cross dan rambu jalan seperti busstop sign dan crossing sign seringkali menghambat pergerakan mereka serta meningkatkan risiko kecelakaan di area publik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan kacamata pintar berbasis kamera yang terhubung ke aplikasi mobile yang dapat membantu tunanetra dalam mengenali rambu jalan secara real-time. Sistem ini dikembangkan menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan pemrosesan citra berbasis YOLO untuk mendeteksi objek rambu jalan dan zebra cross. Hasil deteksi disampaikan kepada pengguna melalui umpan balik suara agar mudah dipahami tanpa ketergantungan visual. Pengujian dilakukan pada kondisi luar ruang dengan pencahayaan siang hari. Dengan demikian, perangkat ini berpotensi menjadi alat bantu mobilitas yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemandirian dan keselamatan penyandang tunanetra dalam beraktivitas di lingkungan jalan raya.

Safe and independent mobility is a fundamental need for people with visual impairments. Difficulty recognizing zebra crossings and road signs such as bus stop signs and crossing signs often hinders their movement and increases the risk of accidents in public areas. This research aims to design and implement camera-based smart glasses connected to a mobile app that can assist blind people in recognizing road markings in real-time. This system was developed using Research and Development (R&D) methods with YOLO-based image processing to detect road signs and zebra crossings. The detection results are delivered to the user through audio for easy understanding without visual dependence. Testing was conducted in outdoor conditions with daytime lighting. Thus, this device has the potential to be an effective mobility aid to increase the independence and safety of blind people in their activities on the road
