Abstract

Scraper chain conveyor 471CV01 pada unit coal mill PT. Semen Gresik (Persero) merupakan peralatan penting dalam proses pengangkutan material reject. Tingginya frekuensi kerusakan menyebabkan terganggunya proses produksi sehingga diperlukan strategi perawatan yang lebih efektif. Laporan magang ini bertujuan menganalisis potensi kegagalan komponen menggunakan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Analisis dilakukan berdasarkan data riwayat kerusakan, observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan studi literatur untuk memperoleh nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) pada setiap komponen. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa komponen bearing memiliki nilai RPN tertinggi sebesar 210, diikuti scraper chain sebesar 126, liner sebesar 90, drive chain sebesar 72, coupling dan rail sebesar 60, baut adjuster sebesar 48, serta sprocket sebesar 24. Selain itu, drive chain merupakan komponen yang paling sering mengalami kegagalan sehingga memerlukan perhatian khusus dalam penyediaan suku cadang. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, metode FMEA dapat digunakan untuk menentukan prioritas perawatan sehingga meningkatkan keandalan scraper chain conveyor dan mendukung kelancaran proses produksi.

The scraper chain conveyor 471CV01 in the coal mill unit of PT. Semen Gresik (Persero) is an important piece of equipment for transporting reject material. Frequent failures disrupt the production process, making an effective maintenance strategy essential. This industrial internship report analyzes potential component failures using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. The analysis was conducted based on maintenance history, field observations, interviews, and literature studies to determine the Risk Priority Number (RPN) of each component. The results show that the bearing has the highest RPN value of 210, followed by the scraper chain (126), liner (90), drive chain (72), coupling and rail (60), adjuster bolt (48), and sprocket (24). In addition, the drive chain is the component with the highest failure frequency, indicating the need for better spare part availability. These findings demonstrate that the FMEA method is effective in determining maintenance priorities, improving equipment reliability, and supporting continuous production operations.
