Abstract

Bogie merupakan komponen utama pada kereta api yang berfungsi menopang struktur carbody sekaligus menentukan kestabilan, kenyamanan, dan keselamatan operasional kereta. Sebelum unit kereta dioperasikan, bogie wajib melalui uji beban (Bogie Load Test) untuk memverifikasi kekuatan struktur, distribusi beban, serta kesesuaian dimensi terhadap spesifikasi teknis yang ditetapkan. Namun, pada praktiknya masih dijumpai potensi deviasi antara hasil pengukuran aktual dengan referensi desain, khususnya pada dimensi celah antar komponen setelah proses pembebanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh kondisi coil spring, beban tare, dan beban crush terhadap besarnya beban yang diterima bogie, serta mengevaluasi jarak celah antara Bogie Frame dengan Axlebox dan Top of Rail (TOR) pada Bogie Load Test Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI). Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui studi literatur, pengambilan data langsung di Workshop PMK Bogie, dan analisis data dengan mengacu pada spesifikasi teknis coil spring, Inspection Sheet, serta dokumen spesifikasi teknis PT INKA (Persero). Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa coil spring yang diuji memiliki diameter kawat 43 mm dengan tinggi bebas 290,2 mm, dan mengalami penurunan tinggi menjadi 251,8 mm pada beban tare 4224,75 kg serta 231,7 mm pada beban maksimum 6438,5 kg, yang keseluruhannya masih memenuhi spesifikasi teknis acuan. Evaluasi terhadap dua unit bogie kereta TC menunjukkan bahwa unit pertama memenuhi seluruh parameter toleransi Inspection Sheet tanpa penyesuaian, sedangkan unit kedua memerlukan penambahan shim hingga maksimal 9 mm untuk memenuhi standar celah yang dipersyaratkan pada setiap kondisi pembebanan (11,5–23 ton). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketelitian pengukuran celah dan kesesuaian spesifikasi coil spring berperan penting dalam menentukan keberterimaan hasil Bogie Load Test, dan bogie yang diuji dinyatakan layak untuk dilanjutkan ke tahap produksi berikutnya.

The bogie is a primary component of a train that supports the carbody structure while determining the stability, comfort, and operational safety of the train. Before a train unit is put into operation, the bogie must undergo a Bogie Load Test to verify structural strength, load distribution, and dimensional conformity with the established technical specifications. In practice, however, deviations are still found between actual measurement results and the design reference, particularly in the gap dimensions between components after the loading process. This study aims to analyze the influence of coil spring condition, tare load, and crush load on the magnitude of load received by the bogie, as well as to evaluate the gap distance between the Bogie Frame and the Axlebox, and between the Bogie Frame and the Top of Rail (TOR), during the Bogie Load Test of the Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) train. The research method consisted of a literature study, direct data collection at the PMK Bogie Workshop, and data analysis referring to the coil spring technical specifications, the Inspection Sheet, and PT INKA (Persero)'s technical specification documents. The test results showed that the coil spring under evaluation had a wire diameter of 43 mm and a free height of 290.2 mm, which decreased to 251.8 mm under a tare load of 4,224.75 kg and to 231.7 mm under a maximum load of 6,438.5 kg, both values remaining within the applicable technical specification. Evaluation of two TC-type bogie units showed that the first unit met all tolerance parameters specified in the Inspection Sheet without requiring adjustment, while the second unit required the addition of shims of up to 9 mm to meet the required gap standards across each loading condition (11.5–23 tons). Based on these results, it can be concluded that measurement accuracy of the gap distance and conformity of the coil spring specifications play an important role in determining the acceptability of the Bogie Load Test results, and the tested bogie was declared fit to proceed to the next stage of production.
