Abstract
Transportasi Kereta Api Commuter menjadi moda utama mobilitas perkotaan, namun risiko keselamatan meningkat pada kondisi tikungan dan perubahan kecepatan yang memicu variasi kemiringan kabin. Penelitian ini merancang dan membangun sistem monitoring kemiringan dan posisi (GPS) secara real-time pada kabin Kereta Api Commuter. Sistem menggunakan IMU BNO055 untuk mengukur sudut roll, pitch, dan yaw, serta GPS Neo-M8N untuk pelacakan koordinat. Kedua sensor diintegrasikan ke Arduino Mega 2560 R3, ditampilkan melalui LCD Nextion, dan direkam menggunakan LabVIEW untuk analisis. Hasil pengujian statik menunjukkan BNO055 mampu membaca kemiringan pada rentang 0,75–7,93° dengan akurasi 97,83–98,42% dan error total maksimum 0,60°. Validasi GPS Neo-M8N dilakukan melalui perbandingan koordinat hasil pembacaan dengan titik referensi pada Google Maps dan menunjukkan kecocokan posisi pada 10 kali percobaan. Pengujian lapangan dilakukan pada rute Surabaya Gubeng–Sidoarjo dan Surabaya Gubeng–Mojokerto dengan variasi penempatan alat (depan, tengah, belakang, kanan, dan kiri kabin). Data lapangan menghasilkan puncak kemiringan −6,95° hingga 6,43° pada rute Surabaya Gubeng–Sidoarjo dan −6,72° hingga 6,36° pada rute Surabaya Gubeng–Mojokerto. Seluruh puncak kemiringan tersebut berada di bawah batas sudut maksimum 8° yang diturunkan dari standar peninggian rel di Indonesia, sehingga data kemiringan dan koordinat yang terekam dapat digunakan sebagai dasar evaluasi teknis desain kabin, identifikasi segmen rel yang memerlukan perbaikan, serta penetapan ambang pemantauan keselamatan berbasis batas kemiringan.

Commuter rail transportation is the primary mode of urban mobility, but safety risks increase on curves and during speed changes, which cause variations in cabin tilt. This study designed and built a real-time tilt and position (GPS) monitoring system for commuter train cabins. The system uses the BNO055 IMU to measure roll, pitch, and yaw angles, as well as the Neo-M8N GPS for coordinate tracking. Both sensors are integrated into the Arduino Mega 2560 R3, displayed via Nextion LCD, and recorded using LabVIEW for analysis. Static testing results show that the BNO055 is capable of reading inclinations in the range of 0.75–7.93° with an accuracy of 97.83–98.42% and a maximum total error of 0.60°. The Neo-M8N GPS was validated by comparing the coordinates obtained with reference points on Google Maps, showing positional accuracy in 10 trials. Field testing was conducted on the Surabaya Gubeng– Sidoarjo and Surabaya Gubeng–Mojokerto routes with variations in device placement (front, center, rear, right, and left of the cabin). Field data produced a peak inclination of −6.95° to 6.43° on the Surabaya Gubeng–Sidoarjo route and −6.72° to 6.36° on the Surabaya Gubeng– Mojokerto route. All of these slope peaks are below the maximum angle limit of 8° derived from Indonesian rail elevation standards, so that the recorded slope and coordinate data can be used as a basis for technical evaluation of cabin design, identification of rail segments requiring repair, and determination of safety monitoring thresholds based on slope limits.
