Abstract

Studies on supply chain sustainability have predominantly emphasized environmental and economic dimensions, while the social dimension, particularly the practice of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), remains relatively underexplored. This imbalance in the social pillar affects the effectiveness of decision-making and supply chain leadership due to limited perspective variation in risk mitigation and weakened strategic evaluation quality that relies only on narrow viewpoints. Previous research indicates that DEI implementation can strengthen supply chain flexibility, resilience, collaboration, and operational efficiency; however, within the chemical-based manufacturing industry, its implementation remains limited, so its implications for organizational performance are not yet comprehensively understood. On the other hand, although leadership competence is consistently identified as a core component of supply chain management, access to strategic roles remains unequal, placing organizations at risk of losing potential contributions from a portion of their workforce. This study aims to analyze job fit in the supply chain field toward leadership potential through an inclusive approach. The research employs a mixed methods approach with questionnaires analyzed statistically, complemented by qualitative exploration to validate and enrich data interpretation. The findings are expected to provide an empirical foundation for developing inclusive leadership pathways based on competency fit and individual potential, ultimately supporting supply chain sustainability through the balance of its three pillars.
