Abstract
Steam Sootblowing System merupakan peralatan kritis pada boiler PLTU Asam Asam Unit 3 yang berfungsi membersihkan deposit pada permukaan perpindahan panas. Berdasarkan data Work Order periode 1 Januari 2023 – 31 Agustus 2025, sistem ini mengalami enam kejadian derating akibat slagging dengan total kerugian produksi 2.165,17 MWh (GMC) atau 1.197,04 MWh (NMC), sehingga diperlukan evaluasi strategi pemeliharaan secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode Reliability Centered Maintenance II (RCM II) yang diawali dengan analisis reliability dan availability menggunakan distribusi Weibull 2 parameter berbasis fleet data dan pemodelan Reliability Block Diagram (RBD). Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai reliability sistem pada t = 720 jam berkisar 80,29%–89,94%, namun menurun hingga 9,61%–21,64% pada t = 8.640 jam akibat konfigurasi seri RBD, dengan nilai availability sistem antara 90,17%–95,37%. Penerapan RCM II mengidentifikasi 63 failure mode dan 14 kegagalan fungsional pada delapan equipment, menghasilkan maintenance strategy yang terdiri dari On-Condition Task (49,2%), Restoration Task (31,7%), Failure Finding Task (12,7%), dan Discard Task (6,3%), yang melibatkan empat disiplin pemeliharaan terintegrasi dengan interval bervariasi menggantikan interval seragam 3 bulan. Evaluasi pengaruh PM menggunakan model as-good-as-new menunjukkan peningkatan pada Sootblower Tipe G (MTTF +130,96%; availability sistem meningkat dari 93,66% menjadi 97,13%) dan Tipe C (MTTF +57,27%; availability sistem meningkat dari 95,37% menjadi 96,99%). Sootblower Tipe L dengan pola Decreasing Failure Rate (β = 0,9101) lebih tepat ditangani melalui Schedule On-Condition Task tanpa pembongkaran komponen.

The Steam Sootblowing System is critical equipment in the boiler of Asam Asam Steam Power Plant Unit 3, functioning to remove combustion deposits from heat transfer surfaces. Based on Work Order data from January 1, 2023 to August 31, 2025, the system experienced six derating events caused by slagging, with a total production loss of 2,165.17 MWh (GMC) or 1,197.04 MWh (NMC), requiring a maintenance strategy evaluation. This study applies Reliability Centered Maintenance II (RCM II), beginning with reliability and availability analysis using a two-parameter Weibull distribution based on fleet data and Reliability Block Diagram (RBD) modeling. System reliability at t = 720 hours ranged from 80.29% to 89.94%, declining to 9.61%–21.64% at t = 8,640 hours due to the series RBD configuration, with system availability ranging from 90.17% to 95.37%. RCM II identified 63 failure modes and 14 functional failures across eight equipment types, producing a maintenance strategy consisting of On-Condition Task (49.2%), Restoration Task (31.7%), Failure Finding Task (12.7%), and Discard Task (6.3%), involving four integrated maintenance disciplines with varying intervals to replace the previous uniform three-month schedule. Evaluation using the as-good-as-new model showed improvements for Sootblower Type G (MTTF +130.96%; system availability from 93.66% to 97.13%) and Type C (MTTF +57.2%; system availability from 95.37% to 96.99%). Sootblower Type L, exhibiting a Decreasing Failure Rate pattern (β = 0.9101), is best managed through a Schedule On-Condition Task without component disassembly.
