Abstract

Pengembangan turbin angin lepas pantai (Offshore Wind Turbine/OWT) menuntut verifikasi kekuatan batas ultimit (Ultimate Limit State/ULS) support structure penopang jacket

The development of Offshore Wind Turbines (OWT) requires verification of theUltimate Limit State (ULS) of the jacket support structure against extreme load combinationsin complex marine environments. This study evaluates the ultimate capacity of the jacketstructure for the southern waters of Papua using a coupled analysis-based collapse analysisframework. Aero-hydro-servo-elastic simulations were conducted in OpenFAST using theNREL 5-MW reference turbine model, with loading scenarios following the DLC IEC 61400-3-1 for the OWT jacket support structure under 50-year parked extreme conditions. From thesimulation, force and moment histories on the superstructure–substructure–supportstructurewere extracted and then transferred to the structural model in SACS. The structural analysiswas carried out in two stages: (i) basic static to obtain the initial conditions due to constantloads and obtain UC, and (ii) nonlinear collapse (pushover) with progress4e loading until theultimate capacity is reached and the failure mechanism is identified. The expected resultsinclude an estimate of the ultimate strength in the form of the Reserve Strength Ratio (RSR).These findings provide a technical basis for designing a more reliable and safer OWT jacketsupport structure to withstand extreme environmental conditions in Indonesia.
