Abstract
Analisis dilakukan menggunakan AutoPIPE berdasarkan kriteria limit state DNV-ST-F101. Estimasi service life dilakukan menggunakan metode remaining life dan iterasi penurunan ketebalan hingga mencapai kondisi gagal (fail).

Subsea pipelines are critical components of offshore hydrocarbon transportation systems that must maintain their structural integrity throughout their operational life. As the pipeline ages, internal corrosion causes wall thinning, leading to increased stress levels and reduced service life. In offshore field development, the installation of a Jumper Spool is commonly required as a subsea tie-in configuration to connect an existing pipeline to a new facility. However, this modification may alter the stress distribution and structural integrity of a corroded pipeline system. This study aims to evaluate the integrity of an existing subsea pipeline subjected to internal corrosion, investigate the effects of Jumper Spool and Direct Tie-In configurations on stress distribution, and compare the service life of both configurations under different internal corrosion rates. Structural analyses were performed using AutoPIPE based on the limit state criteria specified in DNV-ST-F101. The service life was estimated using the remaining life approach and iterative wall-thickness reduction until the failure condition was reached. The results indicate that increasing the internal corrosion rate leads to higher Unity Check (UC) values for all evaluated limit state criteria. For the existing pipeline, propagation buckling was identified as the governing failure criterion, with estimated service lives of 85, 60, and 50 years for the three corrosion-rate scenarios. After the installation of the Jumper Spool, the governing failure criterion shifted to equivalent stress (Von Mises), reducing the estimated service life to 50, 35, and 29 years. In contrast, the Direct Tie-In configuration produced UC values exceeding the allowable limit (UC > 1.0) under all corrosion-rate scenarios and was therefore classified as failed under the operating condition. Although the Jumper Spool configuration reduced the service life compared with the existing condition, it provided better structural integrity performance than the Direct Tie-In configuration and is therefore considered the more suitable subsea tie-in configuration for an existing subsea pipeline.
