Abstract
Integrasi daya dari PLN ke sistem kelistrikan PT Pertamina RU VI Balongan direncanakan untuk meningkatkan keandalan pasokan listrik. Namun, integrasi tersebut dapat memengaruhi koordinasi proteksi yang telah ada sehingga berpotensi menyebabkan rele arus lebih kehilangan selektivitas dan meningkatkan risiko bahaya arc flash. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan evaluasi dan penyesuaian setting proteksi untuk memastikan sistem tetap andal dan aman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh integrasi daya PLN terhadap koordinasi proteksi eksisting, menentukan setting proteksi yang optimal, serta mengevaluasi risiko arc flash dan kebutuhan alat pelindung diri (APD). Analisis dilakukan menggunakan ETAP 21.0.1 melalui studi hubung singkat dua fasa, koordinasi rele arus lebih (50/51), analisis kurva Time Current Characteristic (TCC), dan analisis arc flash berdasarkan IEEE 1584-2002 serta NFPA 70E-2018. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beberapa pasangan relai pada kondisi eksisting memiliki nilai Coordination Time Interval (CTI) di luar rentang rekomendasi IEEE Std. 242 sehingga koordinasi proteksi belum bekerja secara selektif. Setelah dilakukan resetting, seluruh pasangan relai memenuhi kriteria CTI yang direkomendasikan. Selain itu, nilai Fault Clearing Time (FCT) menurun dari 0,71 s menjadi 0,31–0,32 s sehingga incident energy berkurang menjadi 3,027–20,669 cal/cm² dengan kebutuhan APD pada kategori PPE 1 hingga PPE 3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa resetting koordinasi proteksi mampu meningkatkan selektivitas sistem proteksi sekaligus mengurangi tingkat bahaya arc flash.

integration of power from PLN into the electrical system of PT Pertamina RU VI Balongan is planned to improve the reliability of the power supply. However, this integration may affect the existing protection coordination, potentially causing overcurrent relays to lose selectivity and increasing arc flash hazards. Therefore, an evaluation and adjustment of protection settings are required to ensure that the system remains reliable and safe. This study aims to analyze the impact of the planned PLN power integration on the existing protection coordination, determine optimal protection settings, and evaluate arc flash hazards as well as the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The analysis was conducted using ETAP 21.0.1 through line-to-line short-circuit studies, overcurrent relay (50/51) coordination analysis, Time Current Characteristic (TCC) curve evaluation, and arc flash analysis based on IEEE 1584-2002 and NFPA 70E-2018 standards. The results indicate that several relay pairs under the existing condition have Coordination Time Interval (CTI) values outside the IEEE Std. 242 recommended range, indicating non-selective protection coordination. After relay resetting, all analyzed relay pairs satisfied the recommended CTI criteria. In addition, the Fault Clearing Time (FCT) decreased from 0.71 s to 0.31–0.32 s, resulting in a reduction of incident energy to 3.027–20.669 cal/cm² with PPE requirements ranging from Category 1 to Category 3. The results demonstrate that resetting the protection coordination improves system selectivity while reducing arc flash hazards.
