Abstract

Minat berwirausaha pada Generasi Z di Jember masih belum merata karena sebagian masih memandang kewirausahaan sebagai sesuatu yang rumit dan sulit untuk dimulai. Di sisi lain, generasi ini lebih tertarik pada media digital yang bersifat visual, ringkas, dan berbasis storytelling. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan merancang komik digital edukasi kewirausahaan berbasis Instagram sebagai media yang mampu menyampaikan materi secara menarik, mudah dipahami, dan relevan dengan kehidupan Generasi Z. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder yang dianalisis sebagai dasar penyusunan konsep komunikasi dan perancangan visual. Proses perancangan meliputi pengembangan big idea, cerita, storyboard, ilustrasi, tipografi, warna, layout, hingga media pendukung. Efektivitas media kemudian dievaluasi melalui pengujian kepada target audiens menggunakan metode pre-test dan post-test. Hasil penelitian menghasilkan komik digital Rintisan Arek Jember yang mengangkat pengalaman tokoh sebagai media penyampaian edukasi kewirausahaan. Komik dirancang dengan visual yang sesuai karakteristik Generasi Z serta menghadirkan cerita yang dekat dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa komik efektif sebagai media edukasi dan mampu meningkatkan minat berwirausaha pada target audiens.

Entrepreneurial interest among Generation Z in Jember is not yet evenly distributed, as many young people still perceive entrepreneurship as complex and difficult to begin. At the same time, this generation tends to prefer digital media that are visual, concise, and storytelling-based. Therefore, this study aims to design an Instagram-based digital educational comic as a medium for delivering entrepreneurship education in a more engaging, accessible, and relevant way for Generation Z. This study employed a qualitative approach through the collection of primary and secondary data, which were analyzed to formulate the communication concept and visual design. The design process included the development of the big idea, storyline, storyboard, illustrations, typography, color scheme, layout, and supporting promotional media. The effectiveness of the comic was then evaluated through pre-test and post-test with the target audience. The study resulted in an Instagram digital comic entitled Rintisan Arek Jember, which delivers entrepreneurship education through storytelling based on the characters' experiences. The comic was designed using visual elements that match the characteristics of Generation Z and presents stories closely related to their daily lives. The evaluation results indicate that the comic is effective as an educational medium and has the potential to increase entrepreneurial interest among the target audience.
