Abstract

Kepatuhan terhadap Standar Nasional Open API Pembayaran (SNAP) Bank Indonesia belum menjamin terciptanya pengalaman adopsi yang optimal dalam ekosistem application programming interface (API) perbankan Indonesia. Bank ABC mencatat rata-rata durasi onboarding API mencapai 166 hari per nasabah perusahaan dengan indikasi adanya hambatan pada aspek developer experience (DEx) yang memerlukan perbaikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang portal API sandbox yang tidak hanya mencapai kesetaraan kompetitif dengan standar industri, tetapi juga menciptakan diferensiasi berbasis pengalaman melalui kualitas interaksi yang lebih baik. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah Design Thinking dengan lima tahapan iteratif (Empathize-Define-Ideate-Prototype-Test) dan kerangka kerja developer experience (DEx) sebagai instrumen diagnosis. Pendekatan kualitatif diterapkan dengan dukungan pengukuran kuantitatif, serta triangulasi melalui sumber, metode, dan investigator untuk memastikan kredibilitas temuan. Luaran penelitian mencakup (1) Developer Journey Map yang memetakan transformasi dari kondisi eksisting menuju kondisi ideal; (2) prototipe konseptual portal API sandbox yang mendemonstrasikan perbaikan alur onboarding; dan (3) roadmap implementasi bertahap dengan prioritisasi berdasarkan dampak dan kelayakan. Penelitian berkontribusi secara teoretis melalui adaptasi kerangka kerja DEx untuk konteks business to business (B2B) API banking teregulasi di Indonesia. Kontribusi praktis berupa blueprint implementasi yang berpotensi meningkatkan developer experience, dengan validasi awal terkonfirmasi pada aspek perceived usability (SUS 75,0, kategori good) dan kapabilitas layanan mandiri. Transferabilitas temuan dapat diterapkan ke institusi perbankan dengan karakteristik serupa seperti meliputi SNAP, segmen B2B, dan tantangan DEx dalam proses integrasi API.

Compliance with the National Standard for Open API Payment (SNAP) Bank Indonesia has not guaranteed optimal adoption experience within Indonesia's banking application programming interface (API) ecosystem. Bank ABC records an average API onboarding duration of 166 days per corporate client, indicating developer experience (DEx) barriers that require improvement. This research aims to design an API sandbox portal that not only achieves competitive parity with industry standards but also creates experience-based differentiation through enhanced interaction quality. The methodology employed is Design Thinking with five iterative phases (Empathize-Define-Ideate-Prototype-Test) utilizing the developer experience (DEx) framework as a diagnostic instrument. A qualitative approach is applied with quantitative measurement support, complemented by source, method, and investigator triangulation to ensure findings credibility. Research deliverables comprise (1) a Developer Journey Map illustrating the transformation from current to ideal conditions; (2) a conceptual API sandbox portal Prototype demonstrating onboarding flow improvements; and (3) a phased implementation roadmap with prioritization based on impact and feasibility. This research contributes theoretically through adapting the DEx framework for the regulated business-to-business (B2B) API banking context in Indonesia. Practical contribution comprises an implementation blueprint with the potential to enhance developer experience, with initial validation confirmed on the perceived usability dimension (SUS 75.0, good category) and self-service capability. Findings transferability applies to banking institutions with similar characteristics, including SNAP compliance, B2B segment, and DEx challenges in API integration processes.
