Abstract
Seiring dengan meningkatnya jumlah penduduk Kota Surabaya yang diproyeksikan mencapai 3.144.330 jiwa pada tahun 2030, kebutuhan air bersih juga mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Kondisi ini menuntut sistem distribusi air di PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya mampu bekerja secara optimal. Penelitian ini berfokus pada evaluasi sistem pompa sentrifugal di PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya Unit Karang Pilang III yang mendistribusikan air menuju Reservoir Rumah Pompa Putat Gede. Berdasarkan kondisi eksisting saat ini, sistem pompa menunjukkan kinerja yang belum optimal dalam memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih, khususnya jika ditinjau terhadap proyeksi kebutuhan lima tahun ke depan. Tahapan pada penelitian ini meliputi perhitungan analitis Head efektif instalasi yang dibandingkan dengan perhitungan numerik menggunakan Software Pipe Flow Expert, evaluasi kinerja pompa eksisting, proyeksi kapasitas kebutuhan air 5 tahun ke depan, serta perhitungan NPSH, putaran spesifik, dan daya pompa. Hasil perhitungan analitis menunjukkan nilai Head efektif instalasi pada kondisi proyeksi 5 tahun mendatang sebesar 24,42 m, sedangkan hasil perhitungan numerik menggunakan Software Pipe Flow Expert diperoleh nilai Head efektifnya sebesar 24,57 m, dengan selisih error sebesar 0,61% yang masih berada dalam batas toleransi yang diizinkan yaitu kurang dari 2%. Berdasarkan evaluasi kinerja pompa Merk Torishima dengan tipe CDMV 450X350 HN, konfigurasi tiga pompa Sentrifugal yang disusun secara parallel dengan kapasitas masing-masing pompa 400 L/s terbukti mampu memenuhi kebutuhan distribusi air pada kondisi proyeksi 5 tahun ke depan di tahun 2030 yaitu sebesar 1.780 L/s tanpa memerlukan penambahan unit pompa. Analisis lanjutan menghasilkan nilai NPSHa sebesar 7,64 m, putaran spesifik (ns) sebesar 205,94 rpm yang mengindikasikan tipe pompa high-speed impeller, efisiensi pompa sebesar 88%, serta daya motor sebesar 134,17 kW.

As the population of Surabaya continues to grow, projected to reach 3,144,330 inhabitants by 2030 and the demand for clean water has increased significantly. This condition requires the water distribution system at PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya to operate optimally. This study focuses on evaluating the centrifugal pump system at PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya, Karang Pilang III Unit, which distributes water to the Putat Gede Pump House Reservoir. Based on current existing conditions, the pump system shows suboptimal performance in meeting clean water demand, particularly when assessed against the five-year demand projection. The stages of this study include analytical calculation of the effective installation head compared against numerical calculation using Pipe Flow Expert Software, evaluation of existing pump performance, five-year water demand projection, as well as calculation of NPSH, specific speed, and pump power. The analytical calculation yielded an effective head of 24,42 m under the five year projection condition, while the numerical result from Pipe Flow Expert produced an effective head of 24,57 m, with an error margin of 0,61%, within the allowable tolerance of less than 2%. The pump performance evaluation of the Torishima CDMV 450X350 HN pump, confirmed that three centrifugal pumps arranged in parallel, each with a capacity of 400 L/s are capable of meeting water distribution needs under the projected conditions for the next five years, amounting to 1780 L/s without requiring additional pump units. Further analysis yielded an NPSHa of 7,64 m, a specific speed (ns) of 205.94 rpm, indicating a high-speed impeller type, a pump efficiency of 88%, and a motor power of 134,17 kW.
