Abstract
PT X merupakan industri manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang perajutan plastik dengan produk utama berupa woven bag dan jumbo bag berbahan dasar polypropylene dan polyethylene. Kegiatan operasi dan produksi di perusahaan ini memiliki potensi menghasilkan dampak lingkungan, seperti emisi gas dari penggunaan energi, risiko tumpahan bahan kimia, serta kebisingan dari mesin operasional. Mengingat PT X belum mengimplementasikan Sistem Manajemen Lingkungan (SML) berbasis ISO 14001:2015, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kesiapan perusahaan dalam mengelola aspek lingkungan secara sistematis guna mendukung pencapaian kinerja berkelanjutan.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) yang mengacu pada standar AS/NZS 4360:2004 untuk mengidentifikasi aspek dan dampak lingkungan signifikan berdasarkan penilaian risiko likelihood dan severity. Untuk mengevaluasi tingkat kesiapan implementasi, digunakan metode Gap Analysis melalui checklist dan wawancara yang mencakup klausul 4 hingga 10 dari standar ISO 14001:2015. Penilaian kondisi eksisting dilakukan menggunakan sistem skoring dengan skala 0 hingga 5 untuk mengukur tingkat pemenuhan persyaratan.
Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi dua belas aktivitas yang memiliki aspek dan dampak lingkungan signifikan. Secara kuantitatif, hasil penilaian tingkat kesiapan PT X dalam menerapkan SML ISO 14001:2015 berada pada persentase 50,5%, yang menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan baru menerapkan sebagian elemen SML dan masih memerlukan perbaikan untuk persiapan sertifikasi. Berdasarkan analisis kesenjangan tersebut, penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi daftar dokumen SML yang perlu disusun seperti manual SML, prosedur, dan instruksi kerja beserta usulan timeline pemenuhannya guna memenuhi persyaratan standar ISO 14001:2015.

PT X is a manufacturing industry engaged in plastic knitting with its main products being woven bags and jumbo bags made from polypropylene and polyethylene. Operational and production activities in this company have the potential to generate environmental impacts, such as gas emissions from energy use, the risk of chemical spills, and noise from operational machines. Considering that PT X has not yet implemented an Environmental Management System (EMS) based on ISO 14001:2015, this study aims to analyze the company's level of readiness in managing environmental aspects systematically to support the achievement of sustainable performance.
This research employs the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) method, referring to the AS/NZS 4360:2004 standard, to identify significant environmental aspects and impacts based on likelihood and severity risk assessments. To evaluate the implementation readiness level, a Gap Analysis method is utilized through checklists and interviews covering clauses 4 to 10 of the ISO 14001:2015 standard. The assessment of existing conditions is conducted using a scoring system with a scale of 0 to 5 to measure the level of compliance with requirements.
The research results identified twelve activities that have significant environmental aspects and impacts. Quantitatively, the assessment results of PT X's readiness level in implementing the ISO 14001:2015 EMS were at 50.5%, indicating that the company has only implemented some EMS elements and still requires improvement in preparation for certification. Based on the gap analysis, this study provides recommendations for a list of EMS documents that need to be prepared such as an EMS manual, procedures, and work instructions along with a proposed timeline for their fulfillment in order to meet the requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 standard.
