Abstract

PT Pertamina EP Field Cepu merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di sektor hulu minyak dan gas bumi dengan aktivitas utama meliputi eksplorasi, produksi, dan pengolahan gas alam. Kompleksitas proses pengolahan migas menuntut penerapan teknologi yang terintegrasi, pengendalian operasi yang optimal, serta penerapan standar keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja yang ketat. Oleh karena itu, pelaksanaan magang di PT Pertamina EP Field Cepu Asset 4 Zona 11 bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman secara langsung mengenai proses bisnis dan operasi industri hulu migas. Selama kegiatan magang, dilakukan pengamatan terhadap proses produksi crude oil, condensate, gas alam, sulfur, minyak disulfida, dan pengelolaan air formasi pada fasilitas Main Gathering Station Menggung, Central Processing Plant Gundih, serta lapangan Alas Dara Kemuning. Selain itu, dilakukan analisis terhadap sistem pengolahan gas pada Acid Gas Removal Unit, Caustic Treater Unit, dan Dehydration Unit melalui penyusunan Process Block Diagram, Process Flow Diagram, Piping and Instrument Diagram, neraca massa dan energi, serta Hazard and Operability Study. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa proses pemurnian gas di PT Pertamina EP Field Cepu telah dirancang secara terintegrasi untuk meminimalkan kandungan pengotor seperti H₂S, CO₂, uap air, dan kondensat sehingga memenuhi spesifikasi distribusi. Kegiatan troubleshooting pada Absorber Column AGRU juga memberikan pemahaman mengenai evaluasi kinerja unit pengolahan gas dan upaya optimasi proses melalui pendekatan teknis dan simulasi.

PT Pertamina EP Field Cepu is one of the companies operating in the upstream oil and gas sector, with main activities including exploration, production, and natural gas processing. The complexity of oil and gas processing requires the implementation of integrated technology, optimal operational control, and strict occupational health and safety standards. Therefore, the internship at PT Pertamina EP Field Cepu Asset 4 Zone 11 was conducted to provide direct understanding of the business processes and operational activities within the upstream oil and gas industry. During the internship, observations were carried out on the production processes of crude oil, condensate, natural gas, sulfur, disulfide oil, and formation water management at the Main Gathering Station Menggung, Central Processing Plant Gundih, and Alas Dara Kemuning field facilities. In addition, analyses were conducted on the gas processing systems in the Acid Gas Removal Unit, Caustic Treater Unit, and Dehydration Unit through the preparation of Process Block Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrument Diagrams, mass and energy balances, and Hazard and Operability Studies. The results indicate that the gas purification process at PT Pertamina EP Field Cepu has been designed in an integrated manner to minimize impurities such as H₂S, CO₂, water vapor, and condensate, thereby meeting distribution specifications. Troubleshooting activities on the AGRU Absorber Column also provided an understanding of gas processing unit performance evaluation and process optimization through technical and simulation approaches.
