Abstract
Pembelajaran Biologi di SMA masih menghadapi hambatan, terutama pada materi bioteknologi pangan yang bersifat kompleks dan abstrak. Keterbatasan media pembelajaran yag komunikatif dan visual menyebabkan siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep secara mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang video eksplanatori sebagai media pendamping pembelajaran Biologi bagi siswa kelas X SMA. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk menggali data informasi dan materi melalui wawancara dengan narasumber ahli, serta kuantitatif untuk mengukur kelayakan media melalui uji pengguna berbasis kuesioner skala Likert. Proses perancangan media mengacu pada kerangka Multimedia Development Cycle yang mencakup tahapan konsep, desain, pengumpulan materi, perakitan, pengujian, hingga distribusi. Secara keseluruhan, perancangan meliputi tahapan identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, perumusan konsep, pengembangan media, produksi, pengujian, dan distribusi. Video dirancang menggunakan pendekatan motion graphic, ilustrasi, serta penyederhanaan bahasa. Kemudian pada tahap engujian dilakukan terhadap 28 siswa kelas X SMA, dengan validasi oleh seorang guru Biologi dan seorang ahli di bidang editing video. Berdasarkan hasil uji pengguna yang melibatkan 28 siswa SMA sebagai target audiens memperoleh penilaian dengan kategori "Sangat Baik" pada seluruh aspek yang diukur. Aspek pemahaman materi memperoleh nilai tertinggi sebesar 92,26%, sedangkan aspek visual dan audio, joyful learning, meaningful learning, dan learning masing-masing memperoleh persentase sebesar 85,95%, 86,31%, 85,60%, dan 85,85%, yang seluruhnya termasuk dalam kategori "Sangat Baik". Dengan demikian, Aspek audio visual berpengaruh terhadap aspek pemahaman materi, sehingga mendukung penerapan prinsip deep learning joyful, mindful, dan meaningful. Video eksplanatori ini dapat digunakan sebagai media pendamping pembelajaran bioteknologi bagi siswa kelas X SMA, dengan catatan perlunya penguatan pada aspek penyampaian refleksi kritis terkait dampak dan etika penerapan bioteknologi.

Biology learning in high school still faces obstacles, especially in food biotechnology materials that are complex and abstract. The limitations of communicative and visual learning media cause students to have difficulty understanding concepts in depth. This research aims to design explanatory videos as a companion medium for Biology learning for high school grade X students. The research approach uses qualitative methods to explore information and material data through interviews with expert sources, as well as quantitative methods to measure the feasibility of media through user tests based on Likert scale questionnaires. The media design process refers to the Multimedia Development Cycle framework which includes the stages of concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. The design includes the stages of problem identification, data collection, concept formulation, media development, production, testing, and distribution. The video is designed using a motion graphic approach, illustration, and language simplification. The test was carried out on 28 high school grade X students, with validation by a Biology teacher and an expert in the field of video editing. Based on the results of the user test involving 28 high school students as the target audience, they obtained an assessment with the category of "Excellent" on all aspects measured. The material comprehension aspect received the highest score of 92.26%, while the visual and audio aspects, joyful learning, meaningful learning, and learning obtained percentages of 85.95%, 86.31%, 85.60%, and 85.85%, respectively, which were all included in the "Very Good" category. Thus, the audio-visual aspect affects the aspect of material understanding, thus supporting the application of joyful, mindful, and meaningful deep learning principles. Thisexplanatory idea can be used as a companion medium for biotechnology learning for high school grade X students, noting the need to strengthen the aspect of delivering critical reflection related to the impact and ethics of biotechnology application.
