Abstract
Forward-Looking Synthetic Aperture Radar (FL-SAR) merupakan sistem pencitraan yang mampu memberikan informasi area di depan arah gerak platform, sehingga penting untuknavigasi dan pemantauan. Namun, sistem FL-SAR berbasis Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) rentan terhadap narrowband inter-radar interference yang dapat menghasilkan ghost target. Ghost target muncul sebagai puncak spektral palsu akibat kesamaan chirp rate antara radar utama dan radar interferer, sehingga berpotensi menurunkan akurasi deteksi dan memengaruhi kualitas data untuk pemrosesan SAR. Penelitian ini menganalisis mekanisme kemunculan ghost target serta menerapkan teknik Interference Replica sebagai metode mitigasi. Teknik ini bekerja dengan merekam spektrum interferensi melalui carrier sense dan mengurangkannya dari spektrum sinyal aktual. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa metode ini efektif dalam menekan puncak interferensi dan meningkatkan keandalan data yang digunakan untuk sistem FL-SAR.

Forward-Looking Synthetic Aperture Radar (FL-SAR) is an imaging system designed to observe the area directly ahead of the platform’s flight path, making it essential for navigation and situational awareness. However, FL-SAR systems that employ Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) signals are susceptible to narrowband inter-radar interference, which can generate ghost targets. These ghost targets appear as false spectral peaks caused by similarity in chirp rates between the primary radar and the interfering radar, potentially degrading detection accuracy and affecting the quality of data used in subsequent SAR processing. This study examines the mechanism behind the formation of ghost targets and applies the Interference Replica technique as a mitigation method. The technique operates by capturing the interference spectrum through carrier sense and subtracting it from the actual received spectrum. Simulation results demonstrate that this method effectively suppresses interference-induced peaks and enhances the reliability of data utilized in FL-SAR systems.
